renjun looked straight to suyeon as he heard those words.
"why would you be afraid of me?" renjun asked , still keeping his calm manner with this girl in front of him.
the girl smiled before she spoke up,
"let's talk about something else." she said as she looked out through the window.
"if you're done , let's go take a walk around this town." renjun said as he smiled , receiving a nodded from the girl.
after both of them finished their drinks , they decided to finally leave the cafe.
"thanks for your treat , the next one is on me." suyeon said as she faced renjun while walking.
"next one? do you want to meet me next time?" renjun face lit up , hearing suyeon's words.
"sure, why not?"
"i don't expect you to say that." renjun said as he averting his eyes , not looking at suyeon.
"we are friends , don't we?" suyeon asked.
"i thought we are in relationship?" renjun asked as he chuckled.
"you still going on with that , huh?" suyeon asked.
"yes. i do hope you to feel the same." renjun said , his tone is calm.
suyeon looked at him. unfortunately for suyeon , she already knows everything.
"i won't , renjun. you need to know that." suyeon said calmly before she smiled.
"why did you say so?" renjun asked , confused.
"i know better than what you expected." suyeon said as she smiled before she walked ahead of renjun.
renjun , still walking on his pace , not trying to catch up with suyeon is thinking what would the girl mean by that. he halted as he realised something.
"suyeon.." he called for the girl. suyeon stopped and turn around to see renjun.
"...my friends said something to you , don't they?" renjun asked as he smirked.
suyeon smiled at the question but don't bother to answer it. she turn around again to walk before she spoke up,
"forget it , let's go." she said.
"just tell me what they had said , i won't be mad. it's all truth anyway." renjun said as he catch up with suyeon.
"do i really need to say it? you know it better." suyeon asked , renjun didn't expect to see her smiling while asking him.
he expected her to be mad at him. she already knows what will he do so why she didn't get angry at him? he questioned it.
"you know that well , so why you're still hanging out with me?" renjun asked , waiting suyeon to answer his question.
"because i want to believe there's a good side of you." suyeon said and smiled.
that statement caught renjun off guard.
"why would you do that?" renjun asked , his tone changed. annoyed , maybe. he don't like the answer.
"i changed my perspective on you after we went through the rainy day , that day." suyeon said as she looked in front again , not daring to meet renjun's eyes. his eyes changed. and she knows that one probably not a good one to stare into.
"why , do you pity me?" he asked again.
"maybe." suyeon said.
renjun , don't know how to react with that statement.
"let's just go home. i'll walk you home." renjun said , he don't like how he's feeling right now.
"sure."
"renjun..?" a voice disturbed the tense air between the two. both of them turned around to see the owner.
"j-jiwoo?"
suyeon observed the girl and renjun. they probably know each other , she thought.
"you ended up being friends with her , i see. nice to meet you , suyeon." the girl said , making suyeon to stare at her.
"how do you know her?" renjun asked as he confused , what is happening.
"yeah , same question. do i know you?" suyeon asked.
"you probably don't but i do know you. because you're related to doyoung." the girl in front of them said before she smirked.
renjun's heart beating faster , he's uncomfortable upon hearing doyoung's name.
he never expected to see the girl he once played , again.
"you must be doyoung's acquaintance then." suyeon stated , looking at the girl.
"acquaintance? you can say that , i guess. see you around then." she said before she left.
suyeon carefully watch her figure faded out from her sight.
"weird , how come i never heard about her from doyoung?" suyeon muttered to herself.
"so do you want to go back or not?" renjun shot at the girl.
suyeon is quite surprised at the sudden change of renjun's personality.
'he's back at it.' she thought.
"let's go." suyeon said.
after walking , they arrived at suyeon's house.
"so , do you want to meet me again , or you will pretend like you don't know me?" suyeon asked.
"let me have some more fun with you , i'm cruel i know." renjun said , his tone is unreadable.
"okay then , you know what , i think i can have some more fun with you too." suyeon said calmly and renjun didn't expect that.
"whatever , bye." renjun said as he walked away while waving at suyeon without looking at her.
suyeon smiled at the sight.
she don't think she will fall for him , but she knows that she , herself want renjun as her friend. mark's words keep bothering her. she wants to know his past. and mark also said she would be a good friend to renjun , so she wanted to be one.
suyeon entered the house and saw doyoung in the living room , as usual.
"so , are we still siblings or not?" doyoung asked.
suyeon sighed at her brother's childishness.
"we are. i didn't fall for him." suyeon said and make her way to sit at the sofa.
"doyoung , i met you acquaintance earlier.." she started off.
"acquaintance?"
"yeah , and she seems to know renjun as well." suyeon said as she started to stretch.
"w-what? who..?"
"jiwoo, i think." suyeon said as she looked at her brother.
she tilted her head upon seeing his brother spacing out.
"doyoung?"
"huh? oh? why?"
"are you hiding something from me? you're acting weird." she said as she said laughed before making her way to the kitchen.
she expected doyoung to defend himself after she asked that but she received silence from doyoung.
"so you really hiding something from me , right?" she asked as she came back with a glass of water in her hand.
"it's none of your business." doyoung said and suyeon is shocked hearing that.
doyoung never shot something like that to her.
this is definitely something wrong , she thought.
