suyeon stared at the dress that her mother prepared. it's knee-length lilac dress. it's pretty , sure. but she don't know if she would look pretty in it.
her door creaked open , revealing doyoung.
"oh my suyeon , why you're not getting ready yet? stop staring at the dress!" he said as he took the dress and pushed suyeon into her dressing room.
"hey hey slow down." suyeon said and frowned at her brother.
suyeon walked out from her dressing room and there's doyoung and their mother
"why you guys are standing there?" she asked.
"now , let's do your hair and make up." her mother said as she pulled her daughter's hand.
"you're being excited , don't you?" suyeon asked and her mother giggled.
after getting everything done , kim's family departed from their house.
suyeon keep looking at doyoung , doyoung noticed it and looked at suyeon.
"stop looking , it's creepy." doyoung scolded.
"your necktie is crooked." suyeon said nonchalantly and slowly looked to the front.
doyoung cleared his throat, being embarrassed and fixed his necktie.
after a few minutes , the family arrived.
"doyoung , suyeon. i need you guys to behave , okay?" their dad said.
"they're all grown up now , don't worry." their mom said , receiving smiles from the two.
the family entered the venue.
as suyeon stepped in , she looked around the hall in awe.
"i'll go to my friends. enjoy yourself." doyoung whispered.
"hey you can't leave me alone." suyeon said but doyoung already walked away.
suyeon cleared her throat before making her way to the food corner. food probably the best way to avoid awkwardness.
"hey." someone whispered and suyeon turned around to see hyeri. suyeon smiled.
"i'm glad you're here." suyeon sighed in relief.
"look at that." hyeri pointed. suyeon slowly turned around to see renjun. he's wearing a black suit with his hair up. suyeon thought he looked good. he turned his head and accidentally locked his eyes with her. his lips formed a curve. he waved and walked towards hyeri and suyeon.
"congratulations on your company anniversary." he congratulated the girl in front of him.
"oh.., it's not me who deserve that but thank you , i guess?" suyeon said awkwardly and smiled.
"i don't want to say something obvious but you're so pretty." he complimented the girl and looked away.
the girl did the same.
"oh, you too." she said , not daring to match his eyes.
"if you're gonna flirt with each other , i better go now. bye." hyeri said jokingly and walked away despite of suyeon holding her on.
"let her be. you should be happy you're with me." renjun said as he smirked.
"bold of you to think i want to be with you." suyeon said jokingly , observing renjun's reaction.
"eh..what?" renjun tilted his head.
suyeon ended up laughing.
"kim suyeon." she heard a voice.
