It was Monday and Shuichi was reading a book in a living room, wondering when the maid will get here. Shuichi had already called the day before and Ouma was supposed to arrive in about ten minutes. Meanwhile, Kaede was texting Miu while drinking a glass of red wine with a smile on her face.
It always seemed weird to Shuichi that she smiled that way around Miu. She never smiled that way around him. Her grin looked almost insincere. Either way, Saihara didn't question it. She made him happy...or at least he thought she did.
But before Shuichi had the chance to contemplate his relationship any longer he heard knocking at the door. Must be the maid. He got up and opened the door.
In the doorway, stood a cheery boy in a maid outfit, similar to Kirumi's. He had short purple hair and purple shiny eyes. Additionally, he had two checkered bows at the side of his headdress. It was probably the maid he had called.
"Hello, Ouma-kun right? Come in" he said gesturing the boy inside.
"Yep~! That's me!" the boy responded with a small nod before coming inside. Just at that moment, Kaede walked into the living room. She looked at the maid before coming over and muttering a hello.
"Well uh, I'm Shuichi Saihara and this is my girlfriend Akamatsu." he said looking over at Kaede.
"It is nice to meet you, Mr. Saihara and Miss Akamatsu." the boy said bowing with a smile. Saihara blushed at the formality, while Kaede looked rather satisfied at the treatment. It was probably because she liked being treated like a princess. Guilty pleasure or something she once told him.
"Are there any specific things you'd like me to do? Sometimes customers ask for special things such as taking care of pets or of plants" he asked looking around the house with a smile.
"I feel as though cleaning the house is enough, thank you." Saihara said shyly. Kaede shook her head.
"Now now Sweetchi I think I'd be lovely if someone looked over the garden for us." Kaede said looking over at Ouma-kun "Would it be alright if you overlooked the garden? Thanks." she said before the boy could respond.
"There are eighteen rooms in total, discounting the closet for cleaning supplies, the attic, the basement, the garden, and hallways. The closet is by the staircase." Shuichi said to which Ouma nodded.
"Great! Well, Ouma you can get started and well I'll be heading off to an awards party." Kaede said putting her hands on her hips.
"Awards party? You're getting an award?" Ouma asked tilting his head to the side.
"Yep, a piano award! I'm a famous pianist." she said her voice, full of confidence. Ouma smiled.
"Piano huh? I'm not really a classical music fan but that sounds cool. Congratulations!" Kaede puffed out her cheek, seemingly annoyed for not enough appreciation.
"Umm... I'll just get onto cleaning. I should be done by the end of the day." he said uncomfortably at the sudden stare Kaede was giving him.
"Kay, whatever. I'll just go get ready in the dressing room and go. See ya." Kaede said leaving the room.
"Um, anyways Ouma, if you need to ask me, I'll just be in the study. The rooms are labeled, so I don't think you'll have a problem with knowing where's what room." Saihara said to which Ouma nodded. He walked away, presumably to get the required supplies.
Saihara sighed. Time to get to work. He went over to his bedroom which linked to the study to work on his case flies. Saihara was quite relieved to have the time to work considering his desk was covered in papers that were in complete disarray.
"Time to work..."

Meanwhile Ouma-kun dug through the closet searching for the cleaning supplies. He liked to analyse his clients. It wasn't only because his mentor Kirumi told him it would help him determine the best approach, but also because he enjoyed it.
Hmm, Miss Akamatsu. She sounded a bit rude. She holds piano music dear and seems angry when her talent is not recognised. First impressions are definitely not her strong suit.
Shuichi Saihara on the other hand, he sounded sweet and a bit shy judging by the stutter. He certainly seemed better than his girlfriend. That's a good sign.
However those were just firsthand impressions. He'll just have to wait to confirm it.
He adjusted his uniform and got to cleaning. As he swept the floors of cobwebs he noticed four picture frames sitting on the dresser. Being the nosey person he was he looked at it. The first one looked like a picture of Kaede and Shuichi as kids at a birthday party.
The second had Shuichi hanging out with some boy in a theme park with his parents in the background. What caught Ouma's attention was the seemingly dissatisfied look on their faces but he shrugged it off.
Third had Kaede and Shuichi at the very same theme park at what he assumed was a date.
The fourth had Kaede and Shuichi hanging out but there was another blonde woman with some sort of goggles on the top of her head between them.
Huh, so nothing interesting then, yet something about these photos felt off.
"Ah, I shouldn't care about that. I'm supposed to be cleaning right now." Ouma thought to himself, going to clean somewhere else.
