Skeppy POV:
It took awhile to accept that I was alive. Alive and before the war/apocalypse. Almost immediately, my thoughts went to how to prevent the tragedy. The tragedy that took so many. Although faint, I could still remember friends who had died. The apocalypse felt like a realistic dream. The memories were just so distant. A part of me is convinced it was a dream. However, it also seemed so detailed, involving many people I had only spoke to once beforehand. And my death. That was the most vivid part. It felt so impossibly real. The slow drain of energy, the pain of all my wounds, the yelling of my friends. Instinctively, I touched my veins. Just moments ago they were numbing me, killing me from the inside.
At the cafeteria, I found myself surrounded by my friends. A6d, Bad, and Dream. When I saw Dream, I nearly cried. He was captured during one of our heist for medicine. We didn't know what had happened to him. It was almost surreal to see him again, even if he still wore that stupid mask.
"Dude, are you good?" He asked with a laugh, "Skeppy is awfully clingy today."
"You should have seen the muffin in Math! He forgot the date and hugged me for like 5 minutes!"
I just smiled, not even bothering to defend myself. The future had changed me. Although, it was endearing. To spend time with your friends, without worrying who would be there tomorrow. Bittersweet.
"I'm gonna go use the bathroom," I said, excusing myself. Bad nodded as A6d and Dream bickered in the background.
I strolled down the almost empty halls, smiling an impossible amount. I knew the apocalypse would return, however, for now, I just wanted to enjoy myself. To appreciate the time I had, for every moment is precious. Suddenly, I rammed right into another person. I slammed onto the ground with a loud thud.
"Ouch!" I yelped.
Looking up, I was met with a pair of sharp red eyes and bright pink hair. Dread coiled through me along with a wave of guilt.
"Oh, sorry, I wasn't watchin-"
"Technonoob," I said, still in a state of shock.
"Uhh, what?" He asked, his face twisted into confusion.
"I mean, you're Technoblade, right?"
He shifted awkwardly, before nodding as I jumped up from the ground. I carefully dusted myself off.
"We have the same English! You're really good."
"Oh. Thanks," he mumbled, his voice seemed to get quieter with each word (there wasn't many in the first place). I almost forgot about his crippling anxiety. He seemed to fidget more and more as we stood.
"I'm gonna go now, I'll talk to you in English!" I exclaimed, scampering off.
My mind went haywire the moment I reached the bathroom. Technoblade. My memories of him were the most surreal of them all. Before the apocalypse, he was just a quiet guy who sat next to me in English class. However, when the world plummeted into crap, the man seemed to have snapped. I couldn't remember exactly what his power was, but I knew Techno was unstoppable. No matter what virus the government used, it couldn't kill him.
When the world was divided into government vs projects, Techno was the wildcard. This time around, I was gonna change things. I was gonna bring that anomaly on the right side.
