Tommy's POV:
I had general idea what was going on with the building. After all, my soundproof walls were failing at their job. Every few minutes, there would be a sharp thud against the wall, shaking the clammy, concrete floors. It sucked because Deo was somehow asleep through this whole thing.

"Dude, wake up..." I said loudly, "do you not hear this? I think someone's infiltrating the tower."

Deo replied with a grunt, and a "5 more minutes..."

I began poking him through the hole, "I'm serious! Wake up!"

He whined in response, "They won't make it past the floor above us anyways. That's where the armed guards are gathering..."

I rolled my eyes, "That's besides the point!"

Just then, there was a loud, sharp creak. Someone had opened a door. I knew it didn't come from the outside. It was one of the noises I actually heard regularly. When they fed me. It seemed to be coming from Deo's side of the cell.

I stayed hushed and silent, which was uncharacteristic for me. I waited for the person to speak, ready to eavesdrop.

"Deo, is it?" it called. The moment the voice registered in my head, I felt shock overwhelm me. Is that...Wilbur?

"The one and only," Deo drawled in response. He sounded as if he'd been expecting them.

"You don't sound surprised, so I'm assuming your ability is still active?"

I could practically hear Deo's shrug. He seemed very indifferent, unlike me, who was freaking out.

"You can say that. I just get visions," he replied, "even of other timelines."

From the little hole, I can hear Wilbur's anger. It made me confused. I'd never heard him so angry. And why to my cellmate?

"Then, you'd know why I'm here," he snapped.

The person in question didn't respond. It seemed to enrage Wilbur even more.

"Do you know what I gave up for this?! I left what remained of my family! You almost- no you're ruining everything!"

Deo sighed in exasperation, before responding, "You're mad at me because you got attached to them? How logical."

"I'm not attached to them... they're not... they're from this timeline. Not my own."

"One might argue otherwise."

Wilbur inhale deeply, clearly trying to contain an outburst.

"Let's talk somewhere else, okay? Where I can actually see your face," he said, much calmer this time.

"not much of a difference to me. I can't see anyways."

"maybe you shouldn't have ever sent people back to begin with."

With that, I heard footsteps and clanking chains. Soon, the distinct sound of someone getting up.

"Woah, chill dude, I'm just a malnourished, non-armed, hardly a project kid. No need to point that at me," Deo said, laughing nervously.

"Just shut up and start walking."

Skeppy's POV:
After climbing another 10 floors, Bad's condition seemed to have recovered. He's walking on his own now, although, a little sluggish. Still an improvement.

"I'm sorry for slowing you guys..." he muttered.

I gave him a reassuring pat on the back. Techno just grunted in response.

What worried me, however, was how quickly we were approaching floor 27. Techno seemed to have downed some steroids before we got in here, he was moving impossibly speedy. The problem with this is after he leaves, it'll just be Bad and I. I don't know if I can cover the rest of these floors when its just us.

>Floor 26<

"How do I know we haven't passed Tommy yet?" Techno asked suddenly, turning to face me. His right hand was still deflecting and stabbing people.

I sighed, before responding sincerely as I can, "I won't lie to you, Technonoob. Calm down."

He flashed a skeptical look, but continued fighting nonetheless.

After piercing another body, he turned to glare at the remaining guards. His eyes held a cruel, menacing glint. It distinctly read, "I'll kill you, back off."

In response, many of the guards dropped their weapons, extending their arms in an act of surrender. Those who didn't, were stabbed without hesitation. Bad seemed to grimace at the ruthlessness.

Ignoring it, Techno approached the door, before holding it open.

"After you," he said, voice full of sarcastic cheer. I sighed in response.

"You might want to go save your Tommy. He's on the floor above."

Techno's eyes widened in shocked.

"Are you serious?"

I nodded, a little sad. He seemed to have noticed this.

Coughing sheepishly, he spoke, "I'll clear the guards on the next floor. But then, you're own your own."

I sighed again, "better than nothing."

Techno's POV:
The offer to help them one last time, slipped out of my mouth autonomously. I definitely didn't consider Skeppy and Bad my friends. I don't have friends. However, I felt pity nonetheless. I agreed to clear out the floor for them, but after, I was just going to grab Tommy and go.

After all, whether the CEO is defeated today or tomorrow meant nothing to me. His basis of government is bound to crumble eventually. Dictatorships usually don't work out. Either ways, I'll be fine. If the country falls to chaos, the strong, like myself, usually have the advantage.

I escorted Skeppy and Bad to the next flight of stairs, plowing through groups of soldiers as I did. There actually wasn't a lot on this floor, strangely enough. Probably less than the last. It was weird because you'd think there'd be more guards on a floor with prisoners, than not.

After they began heading up, I began heading over. There were a set of thick metal doors, each with a keypad. The same ones I was held in a couple weeks back. It was almost nostalgic. In a bad way. I was angry they were holding Tommy in these cells.

Rummaging through the corpse of a scientist, I pulled out an ID card. I made a face at the profile picture.

Someone had a bad picture day...I was doing them a favor my killing them.

Ignoring the tragic photo, I picked out the numbers written on the back. 7..2..1..0

Plugging those numbers in, I opened the cell. There was a silhouette in the corner. It moved at the sudden intrusion of light.

"...Techno?" I heard a quiet murmur.

I grinned, "Hey nerd."
