A6d's POV:
My feet pattered the ground like raindrops on a windowpane. Adrenaline pumped through me, fueling to my speed. I wasn't normally an agile person, but I was able to maneuver through the battle with careful, swift evasion. One guard attempted to intercept me. He was a fairly tall, middle age man.

He swung an axe horizontally, in a clearly untrained manner. I slid beneath it, the blade flying just overhead with a 'whish'. Any later, my head would've been decapitated. Turning around, I swept my leg behind his feet. He collapse with an audible grunt. I pushed myself up, before snatching his weapon and taking off.

The airship was hovering about 12 feet off the ground, casting a fairly shaded area below. Beneath the ship, was an opening hatch and a swinging, metal ladder. I vaguely spotted its silhouette from the distance. It dangled a few feet above my head. I knew I wasn't physically capable of reaching it myself. So I figured out a plan.

Standing beneath the ladder, I clutched the axe with both hands and swung upwards. The blade hooked itself onto one of the bars with a 'THUD!' Using the handle, I pulled myself upward. I attempted to climb it like a rope, but it was difficult due to the axe's weak grip on the bar. Just then, I felt someone grab me and begin lifting upwards.

"Tapl?" I asked, "how did you know-"

"I sensed your location," he responded, "it's my ability."

I pulled onto the ladder, and reached out to him. I tugged him up as well. As we entered, we were hit with a rush of cool air.

"Wow, they had AC in here," I muttered bitterly. While we were fighting a miserable battle, these people laundered in the luxuries of modern society.

Just then, Tapl pushed me behind him, just as bullets came flying toward us. He visibly winced as they grazed into his skin. I heard him curse silently to himself. Several guards ran from around the corner, all with loaded guns. Tapl gave me a squeeze on the arm, signaling me go. With a deep inhale of breath, I ran the opposite direction.

The corridors were all sleek, gray, and simplistic. It gave off a dangerous, laboratory vibe. They also seemed impossibly endless, especially because I didn't know where I was going. Each hall looked the same, forming the effect that I was trapped in a maze. In addition to that, the virus gas dusted certain areas. Even if it didn't infect me, it shrouded my vision at times, making me lose track of direction.

However, I can also use it to evade guards. But the guards seemed to evade me, as they thought I myself, was a project.

Finally, I reached a small room near the front of the vehicle. The cockpit. I pushed inside. The room was bright, due to the many windows adorning the room. It had several cameras, each displaying a different area of the airship. It also had a series of control panels. I didn't understand any of it, so I just scanned through, looking for any "important-looking" buttons. Eventually, my eyes fell on a button labelled, "anti-project."

I reached for it, when suddenly, I was shoved against the glass, the impact nearly knocking me out. I spun around, and was met by the face of an angry guard. In her hand, was a large needle, big and sharp enough to stab with. From her eyes, I knew that was her intention.

My hands flew up to grab her, just as she tried to jab me. I attempted to push her away, but she continued to press downwards, eyes going sadistic rather than angry. The needle point impossibly close to my neck. It gradually pressed closer. I held my breath, and squeezed my eyes shut.

"Am I going to die?"

Just when my arms were about to give out, something slammed into her head, pulling a howl in pain. The guard, regaining composure, knocked my head with a fist, before spinning around.

Tapl was there, covered in bloody wounds, wincing in pain. She dashed to him, needle ready to stab. He sidestepped and grabbed her arm, yanking it forward. The woman stumbled for a second, before whirling around. Like an angry bull, she charged again, his time, grazing the side of his cheek. Tapl recoiled for a second, and the guard took this advantage to corner him. I tried to stand, but staggered in pain.

Reaching around, I felt something beside my hand, it was a heavy trophy of some sort. Grabbing it, I lunged forward and bashed the guard's head. She fell forward, crashing loudly against the wall. Blood coated the trophy and trickled down. I had killed her.

Swallowing down the feeling of guilt, I averted my gaze from her body. I went to help Tapl up, only, he slumped back down, dissolving into a fit of coughs. His face began heating up. He looked shocked for a moment, before smiling sadly.

"A6d?" He croaked, his voice sounded despaired, "go help the others. I don't think I can join you back."

Oh. The needle must've been...

"You're fine," I insisted desperately, "she only grazed your cheek!"

I took a deep inhale, eyes beginning to water, "Skeppy and them are getting medicine! You still have time! You..."

My voice trailed off, tears spilled from my eyes. I probably looked pitiful. Tapl reached forward and clutched my hand, giving them a reassuring squeeze.

"I think I've been done for a while now. That was just the finishing blow."

I didn't respond. My world was distorted, as if it were crashing down. He began coughing again, face going redder than before. Only, his body was rapidly losing heat now.

"Keep moving forward. Even without me, okay?"

I nodded, unable to bring myself to speak.

He smiled, "good. And tell Spifey something for me..."
