Wilbur's POV:
The smog was thick, magenta purple, seeming to shroud our vision completely. We all dove into 2 separate directions, Skeppy tumbling to the left, Deo and I to the right.Using my guitar, I strummed a sound wave, blasting the smoke off. As the air cleared, I noticed Schlatt combating Skeppy from the side. He was holding a large blade of some sort. Skeppy seemed to be faltering due to previous injuries and exhaustion.
We rushed over to support him, only, bullet shots suddenly detonated in front of us. They missed my foot by several inches.
"Wha-" I began, turning to the source.
I was met with 10 hovering, large drones, each loaded with a canon.
As they fired, I began strumming a tune rapidly, forming a barrier of sound waves around us. The shots merely stopped, not deflecting.
"Wilbur, hold onto them a little longer," Deo said, "I have a plan."
I nodded, straining as the shots kept pelting. The strings began to burn between my fingers. They were like knives, engraving into the pads. After a couple moments, I yelled over the sound of raging projectiles.
"Hurry up! I can't hold on much longer!"
At those words, Deo's veins glowed an illuminating orange. The many explosives suddenly began retracting back into the drones, seeming to be reversing in action. They detonated on contact with another, effectively exploding the machines. They fell with a CRASH!
The loud noise left an unbearable ringing in my left ear.
Upon destruction, more drones seemed to rise up from the city below us. This time much smaller than the ones before. Only, they began swooping down, closer to eye level.
I quickly pulled Deo backwards, helping him evade one aggressive machine.
"I can't see them! I can't even hear any foot steps cause they're flying!" He yelled, seeming to shrink against the hovering drones.
I bit my lips, before cursing.
"Stay close to me!"
Skeppy POV:
The sudden detonation from Wilbur and Deo were a good sign for them, but not as much for me. Unlike them, Schlatt seemed to be taking advantage of my harmed state. After climbing 40 stories and fighting in half of them, it did my body no good. I was already too worn out to dodge.
Pulling up my tired arm, I blocked another slam of the blade, using my crystals as armor. I found myself stalking closer and closer to the edge of the building.
If I fall, there's no survival. Project or not.
Kicking myself up, I shot a flurry of crystals toward him, forcing him to back down. It wasn't until I was standing, that I realized I had been jabbed countless times already. The blood began seeping through my clothes. Just a little.
Him, on the other hand, was still dressed to the nines, only, had a slight crinkle in his suit.
Using a path of crystals, I surfed toward him, ready to strike with a makeshift sword. He quickly met it with his own.
Our blades clashed, although, his was obviously of better material. A crack began forming at the base.
Raising my leg, I sent a kick toward his stomach. It caused him to stumble backwards. Following that, I crystallized the area beneath his legs, implanting him into the ground. I quickly formed a new blade and struck down once more. He quickly met it halfway.
