Techno POV:
The car was all battered up with bullet shots and whatnot. It looked more damaged than us, and we were the ones fighting. Regardless, Bad somehow got it work. The tires were beaten up and deflating by the minute. It could probably take us another mile or so. Better than nothing, I guess.

George hadn't said a word since he got on. He'd just been watching Dream, panicking every time the other as much as grimaced. The bags under his eyes made it evident he was tired. Even so, George continued to worry. It was almost endearing to see. They really had a special bond.

"You don't have to watch him all night," I called to him.

He tensed at the sudden noise, clearly startled. A scowl crossed over his face,

"Maybe I want to," he muttered, obviously offended. Perhaps my tone was too snarky.

I eyed him earnestly, "I wasn't trying to offend. It's okay to rest, you know."

He seemed to relax at that, even flashing a small smile. Although, It had an air of sadness to it.

"Then, it's okay for you to cry," he responded, meeting my gaze. His glance was kind, sympathetic. It bore into me. Because, in truth, I did want to cry.

"Maybe I don't want to," I lied, turning to the shatter window beside me. He smiled, knowingly, glancing back to Dream. If he saw, he didn't say anything about my trickling tears.

Skeppy POV:
Eventually, the car stopped and we trudged our way back to camp. Luckily, the car prolonged longer than we had anticipated, and we were only walking for several minutes. As we approached, I noticed how much things have changed in 10 hours.

First, how wrecked the barn was. The roof had nearly caved completely, dents littered the walls, along with countless holes. Fortunately, one of the projects had been patching them up with vines. Next, were the many bodies on the floor. Some unconscious, others, well, you know.

The moment we came in view, A6d ran to us. He threw his arms around Bad and just hugged him wordlessly. Judging from his face, it was clear, he had been crying. It was unnatural because A6d was never emotionally vulnerable. His eyes widened when he saw Dream.

Before he said anything, Spifey approached us, eyes emptier than ever. He kept his strong facade despite this.

"Is Mega doing any better?" I began. The frown on his face made the answer quite obvious. He shook his head sadly. I didn't question any further.

"Where's Wilbur and Tommy?" he asked. I bit my lips in response.

"We were ambushed. The government got them."

His expression darkened at that. He cursed quietly, before apologizing. With a sharp breath, he ran his fingers through his unnaturally messy, dark hair.

"Tapl...he's..." he began, a pained look was on his face. I raised my hand to stop him.

"You don't have to say anything."

He nodded silently, before turning to Techno and George.

"Sorry, the camp is normally nicer," he said with an empty laugh.

"I'll get you guys somewhere to rest," A6d added quietly. They gave him a thankful nod.

As they left, Bad grabbed my wrist.

"Let me patch you up," he said, flashing a soft smile, "just like old times."

Bad's POV:
"Ow! Ow! Ow!" Skeppy gritted, face scrunching into a painful wince. He attempted to pull his hand away, but I held on firmly.

"Stop moving!" I scolded gently, "it'll hurt less if you stay still."

"You're trying to kill me with pain!" he responded, squirming away from the towel in my hand. I sighed in exasperation before ignoring his complaints. He pouted at my silence.

"Stop being grumpy, you bald man!" He began poking and pinching my cheeks. I yanked him off.

"Oh my goodness, Skeppy stop!" I shot him an annoyed glare. He was obviously amused.

"Don't be angry! It makes me sad," he teased, flashing me his signature grin.

"You're so reckless, you stupid muffin," I muttered, "even before, you always got into fights..."

He let out a giggle, before wiggling his brows, "maybe I just want you to take care of me."

I flushed and turned from his gaze, giving him a gentle slap on the wrist. He seemed to laugh harder at that. It was music to my ears, bringing a deep sense of nostalgia. Memories when things were still simple.

"..like you.." Skeppy murmured quietly. I snapped back to reality.

"Huh?" I asked, looking back up to him. Our faces were much closer than I remembered. He seemed to go beet red at the sudden attention.

"S'nothing!" he exclaimed frantically.

"Wha-"

"Well, I'm all better already! Thanks Bad!"

With that, he hopped up and began scampering off.

"Wait! Skeppy!" I called after him. He turned around to face me, a puzzled expression on his face.

I gave him a solemn look, "Don't blame yourself for everything. You know I hate it when you do that. It's not your fault what happened."

His face seemed to soften at that. He let out a deep breath, before giving mesmerizing smile.

"Thank you, Bad."

My stomach did a flip.

"W-well! Run along now! I'm going to check on A6d!" I said rapidly, almost stumbling on my words. He nodded, before running off.

Reaching to my chest, my heart was beating like crazy.

Oh my goodness...

A/N: I kinda wanted to write something cute, so ya. No action today, sorry!
