Exiled II: The Awakening

Chapter 20

"Raven you propell them back with magic and ill have your follow up" I said to Raven before running in front of her

The two guys flew backwards so I used my powers to force them into the wall, they hit the ground.

"Are they out?" Raven asked from behind me as I walked closer to see.

"I think they might b-" I couldn't even get the sentence out before they got back up and and started swinging at me.

One of them hit me which caused me to stumble back, he was much larger than me. While that was going on Raven went after the other.

I started swinging at him but he seemed to be a better fighter than me because he was blocking all of my punches. He grabbed me and ran me into the wall which stunned me for a second.

His went from dark to yellow which let me know he was a werewolf. He rolled up and onto his feet and grabbed me, I put my arms on his trying to get him off of me in a panic when suddenly he just dropped. I was confused because I didn't use any magic on him.

I looked over at Raven and she sent her guy flying head first into the wall which knocked him out.

"Raven, the weirdest thing just happened!" I exclaimed

"What?" She replied curiously

"I touched that guy and he just... dropped" My tone full of confusion "Its like he lost all his energy and fell from weakness or something. The problem is I didn't use a spell or Thermovariance, I didn't use magic at all, I don't think"

She stared at me in confusion "That's really odd, I wonder what happened" I shrugged my shoulders in uncertainty "Wait...Malik said if you wouldn't have began the process of neutralizing the magic, you would've gained new abilities right?"

"Well yeah" I wasn't sure where she was going with it

"Maybe your gaining new abilities even with the magic being neutralized, I mean think about it, he doesn't know anyone that's successfully done that, so he doesn't really know what it would do" She made a good point

"Maybe so, I just wish I knew what I did!" I replied "It seems like I drained his energy or something... anyways lets go find Jeremiah"

We kept walking down the hall and got to the staircase that Zarya said would lead to the lowest level, we began walking down them quickly. Once we reached the end, we noticed that we had to walk down another hallway which would lead us to another set of stairs so we continued.

We were met by two girls, they seemed to be guarding the other staircase.

"How the hell did you two get out?" A blonde haired girl said irritated.

"Well...lets just say the people Malik left to watch us ar weaker than he predicted" I replied lying.

"I told Malik to let us guard it, you wouldn't have made it past the door alive" The other girl snapped, she was African American and had curly brown hair,

Without so much as a word between the two, one of them shot what looked like an energy beam towards us but we quickly rolled and ducked before it hit.

"Looks like he really doubled downed on that supernatural security" Raven said sarcastically

The other girl began throwing things at using her magic, we were blocking them for the most part but something ended up cutting my arm causing me to bleed.

"sirenibus" I chanted viciously.

The spell I chanted made it sound like sirens were being blasted directly into their heads. Both of them began screaming.
