Before leaving to Massachusetts, Zarya, Maya and Angelo went back to St. Helena to be with Ravens mom at our house. Afterwards, we took turns driving for about 20 hours straight before we decided to stop at a hotel. We were all jammed in the same room, although the room was pretty big.
They were in the room talking while I was studying a book about siphoning.
"So lets say we get there, the council says no to giving us 'The Essence Bow', what do we do then?" Rauz asked
"I don't know, steal it" Calluna joked
"From a witch council? They'd probably kill us"
"No one is killing my girlfriend" Avian said confidently before kissing her on the cheek, Rauz jokingly made a vomiting sound.
"If you guys don't shut up, ill kill all of you myself" I snapped
"Speaking of killing me, so remember how I told you I payed the bills this month because I got a little modeling money? Well I lied, I just compelled the landlord and made him believe we paid all the bills for like six months" Calluna admitted
I should have been surprised but I honestly wasn't because this was classic Calluna.
"Why would you do that? Its not like we don't have the money!"
"I know but I thought, we don't even know if we'll be alive next week better yet next month. We are going through so much we'd probably forget anyways so I took care of it" I rolled my eyes jokingly
"Okay, now that you've been a vampire a few days, how does it feel? You keeping it, or you want a refund?" Ezekiel asked me
"Well I heard theres a no return policy so no refunds for me but... other than almost killing someone I actually feel pretty good about it." I admitted "Im still getting the hang of controlling my heightened emotions, I know that'll take time but im managing."
I was pretty much still beating myself up about the ally incident but I think I'm slowly getting over it.
"Thats good, anyways im hungry" Ezekiel pulled out a blood bag and handed me one as well. He drank his straight out the bag but I poured mine in a cup so it was less weird. I guess it feels more natural to drink it out of a cup.
"Your so boujie" Rauz joked and I nudged him
I closed the book and decided to actually engage with everyone. Finn was being more quiet than usual so I wanted to make sure he was okay.
I walked over to him on the other side of the room "You ok?"
He smiled insincerely "Yeah im fine, why'd you ask?"
"Because, you've been so quiet lately, and so distant"
"Well its pretty hard to see someone you love move on right in front of your eyes... its easy to say im okay with it but actually seeing it is different," I could see the sadness on his face and the tears welling up in his deep blue eyes. Im sure it was embarrassing admitting that. I guess I haven't thought about how weird it must be for him, but I totally understood.
"Oh my god, im so selfish! I didn't even think about how awkward seeing me and Ezekiel together must be for you, im so sorry!" I looked at him sheepishly.
"It's okay Alt, I want you to be happy. It'll just take some time for me to get used to it."
"I know, I just don't want it to ruin our friendship."
"Don't worry I've been on tinder, im sure ill be in love before you know it" He said sarcastically and I laughed before getting up and going to the other side of the room.
