Once we parked in the front we immediately got out the car, there were two people standing there ready to greet us.
"Hello, welcome to The Council's Palace, who are you here to see?" A brown-skinned man with a short afro said politely
"We are here to talk to the Council" I replied confidently
"Alright, come inside and wait upstairs in the Council's Hall, they are out right now but they should be back shortly" He pointed to an area upstairs.
The inside was extremely opulent, there were all types of grand paintings hung up on the walls, the floor was hardwood with a purple carpet leading all the way upstairs, and the upstairs was designed so that they could look down on the whole front area. I don't think I saw even a spec of dirt anywhere in there.
As we were walking up the stairs I noticed there were people watching us from both floors.
"They could've eased up on the security a little bit" Rauz mumbled
"I know right, theres somebody watching us at every angle" Calluna added
Once we reached the upstairs we walked to the area he directed us to go and sat down.
"Hello, my name is Wesley, I am one of the guards here" someone said walking over to us. He seemed younger than most of the people we'd seen so far. He was short with grey eyes, had pale skin, and a very youthful smile on his face.
He was definitely the most joyful personality we'd ran into so far. He was wearing some sort of cloak and had armor on his arms and chest
"Hello! I'm Altiair and these are my friends Rauz, Calluna, Finn, Ezekiel, and Avian" I pointed to each of them
"Nice to meet you all! The council has been expecting you. They should be back any moment now, they only went out to kill a couple vampires" Wesley was still smiling as I looked at him in confusion
"Why are they killing vampires?" I asked nervously
"And why are you smiling?" Ezekiel added so I nudged him
"Well, the vampires in this town aren't allowed to feed on or kill any of the humans or witches in this city. Some vampires broke the rules so they have to pay the price with there lives, and im smiling because its funny silly!" He replied intensely. His energy was weird because as friendly as he was, he seemed equally as intense and unhinged.
"How did the council know they broke the rules?" I asked
"Because the council knows everything that goes on in salem. Anyways, it was nice meeting you and ill return when the council gets back!" Wesley exclaimed before walking away happily.
"That guy is clearly unhinged, nobody's that nice without being a lunatic" Avian said
"I was thinking the same thing, looks like you are actually my child" Ezekiel joked
"You raised him to be just as judgmental and rude as you are... you should be so proud!" Calluna replied "I think he's pretty nice"
"LEAVE ME ALONE, JOSEPH!" A girl screamed in a bratty voice
"NOT UNTIL YOU STOP TAKING THINGS OUT OF MY ROOM, JANICE!" He replied just as annoyingly
Suddenly Janice used magic to set Joseph on fire which made us all immediately gasp.
"Did she just kill him?" Rauz asked nervously
Suddenly the flames went out and Joseph was fine, there wasn't even a scratch on his face.
"I don't know why you constantly set me on fire knowing that I can regernate" Joseph snapped
"I don't know I'm just hoping one of these days, your recovery magic decides to give out so you can burn" Janice shouted
