I sat in my room strapping up my heels and getting ready for the party. I knew that today was going to be the day everything changed, I was right but I didn't know just how much.
"Hey Alt!" Raven said waltzing in my room happily
"Why are you so happy?" I asked curiously being that we were about to go try and kill this maniac again.
"I don't know, just ready to do this and move on with my life you know?"
"Trust me I do too!" I assured her "To think all of this started because of Kane. I mean if we kill Malik today, I can finally say goodbye to anything Kane related.
She laughed "its crazy, he sent Ezekiel to kill us last year, and now he's fighting with us, and in love with you I might add" She gave me a small push
"I know right, its so weird because I can tell its hard for Finn to witness so im trying to slow down on the PDA. Plus me and Ezekiel aren't technically official yet, we just both know we care about each other" I admitted
"I think it'll all work out" She insisted "Hey, I never got to say thank you"
I laughed "for what?" She grabbed my hand and looked me in the eyes
"For showing my mom what she could never understand. You stood up to her in ways I could never and our relationship is better because of it. You got through to her by showing her how much we all cared for each other, I think it opened her eyes to what she should've done" She explained
"I don't think it was all me, I think once she saw us together, the way we fought for each other, how much we care about each other, it changed her for the better" I responded happily
Calluna, Rauz, and Enya walked in as well
"What are you guys talking about?" Enya asked
"I was just telling Altiair if you keep looking at my brother like you wanna marry him, im gonna kill you" Raven joked
"Sorry sis, thats him looking at me" She joked back
"Well isn't this nice, its just the OG's in here right now" Rauz pointed out
"Yeah, you guys have all changed my life in ways you don't even understand. So if today is our last day, and if this goes badly just know I love you, all of you" I said somberly
"You know, when Calluna killed chase I thought id never forgive her, I thought things would never be the same with us again. Now I sit here closer to her than before. We are all family for life, no matter what happens today" Raven replied happily and Calluna smiled
"Yeah, we only made up because Alt locked us in a room and made us talk. Thank god for that" Calluna added
"It was the only way I could get you stubborn kids to listen!" I said in a motherly tone knowing it would make them laugh, and it did. It felt good to sit and reminisce for a second, and just have a moment of peace. Lord knows with all this craziness going on we haven't had the time to.
"Well the place is ready, the decorations are up, and the party starts in a half an hour" Enya said
"Yep and Finn already has everybody at the academy" Rauz added
"And the compelled guests should be arriving there shortly so we should get going—" Ezekiel said walking in the room before coming to a stop. He looked at me as if I was the most beautiful thing he'd ever seen. Granted my hair and makeup were done so I did look nice, its just the look that caught me off guard. He looked nice as well, and all the girls were in dresses, but of course they put more effort in than the boys.
