"The Duchess?" (Reader) whispered

"The Duchess?" (Reader) whispered. "She's a human eating monster." Fukase clentched his teeth. Flower remained silent, not wanting to alert the Duchess. "She's a terrible woman." Flower whispered in (Reader)'s ear.

(Reader) felt Flower's breath tickle her ear as she whispered into it. "She ate my sister! That thing, is not a woman. It's not even human!" Fukase whisper yelled. Fukase felt a ping of sadness in his heart, after mention of his deceased sister. "Sister?" (Reader) tilted her head. "Yes. My little sister,  Iroha." (I know they aren't related, but let's just pretend that they are)

"That's awful." (Reader) felt pity for Fukase. She couldn't imagine her life with out Oliver, and she hated even remotely thinking about her life without him. "I'm so sorry, Fukase." (Reader) placed a hand over her heart. "I appreciate your sympathy, but I don't need it." Fuakse shook his head.

"Would you two be quiet! We are trying to hide from her!" Flower whispered, placing a finger up to her lips. "Terribly sorry, Flower." (Reader) apologized. "You need not apologize, just be quiet." (Reader) nodded her head, remaining silent as Flower requested.

"Fukase." Fukase's head snapped in the direction where Flower's voice came from. (I hate saying that, makes it sound like they broke their neck) "What does her...meal...look like?" Flower asked. Fukase stuck his head through the bush, only to have it pulled back in by Flower. "Moron! If you do that, I won't be able to hear what you're saying." Flower growled. Fukase scowled in response, but complied. He used his hands to create an opening in the bush, so he could see out of it. "See anything?"

"Yeah, they look young. Probably a boy. Blue clothes, that're tattered. And blonde hair, that's all I can really see." Fukase listed. "And the Duchess? What is she doing?"

"She just put them down on a table. They're tied up, too. She looks like she's getting ready to make the preparations for cooking them." Fukase watched the Duchess' every move. He hated her with every fiber in his body, and would've done anything to kill her. However, his title as the Mad Hatter prevented him from doing so.

(Reader) moved from Flower's lap and over to Fukase, joining him in observing the Duchess and her meal. Once (Reader) saw the victim's blonde hair, she immediately thought of Oliver. "Please let me go!" The boy pleaded. "If I don't return home soon, my parents will be rather angry with me! And I still have to find my sister!"

The blonde's voice tugged at (Reader)'s heartstrings. Their voice rang through (Reader)'s ears, 'I know that voice.' (Reader) got out of the bushes and stood up, only to have her hand be grab yet again. (Reader) turned to see who grabbed it. "What are you doing?" Flower whispered through clenched teeth.

(Reader) took a deep breath in and said, "I can't just sit here a watch as they die?! I have to do something, anything, to help them!" Flower sighed. She pulled (Reader) back into the bushes, gesturing for Fukase to get closer. (Reader) had landed on her knees, with one of her legs in-between Flower's.

"If you're going in there, than we're going with you." Flower stated. "We're what?" Fukase looked at Flower, with great confusion in his eyes. "We're going with her." Flower repeated. (Reader) shook her head. She wanted to confirm her suspicions on her own, without help from anyone else. (Reader) was tired of others helping her constantly, she knew she was perfectly capable of handling things on her own.

Flower felt (Reader)'s weight shift, as (Reader) had landed on her lap; though, neither of the girls seemed to notice. It wasn't until Flower felt (Reader) move, that she noticed the position they were in. Flower's face grew slightly red as (Reader), unintentionally, placed her knee very close to Flower's crotch.

"I want do this on my own." (Reader) said softly. (I'm sorry, I suck at dialogue) "Are you mad!?" Fukase yelled. "You'll be killed in a heartbeat!" Flower grabbed (Reader)'s shoulders, pulling her closer. (Reader) stared into Flower's worried eyes for what felt like an eternity, until finally speaking up. "I want to prove that I can do something on my own. That...and other reasons." (Reader) muttered the last part, not letting Flower or Fukase hear it.

Flower sighed and loosened her grip on (Reader)'s shoulders. "Fine. But at least take a weapon, you'll be killed in a matter of seconds if you don't." (Reader) tilted her head in confusion, while Fukase perked up. She hadn't seen Fukase or Flower take a weapon, and they hadn't stopped anywhere to get weapons. (Reader) heard a small click come from Fukase's cane. She turned her head in his direction, and to her horror, found that he was pulling out an orbitoclast. (Tool used in lobotomies)

"Where did you get THAT!?" (Reader) pointed. "My cane~" The red-head purred. "Take a look." He shuffled his cane back, and held it up slightly for (Reader) to look inside of it. The paw at the end of his cane was hanging off by a hinge. (Reader) closed her right eye, and looked inside of his cane. "Oh my." (Reader) whispered. The inside of Fukase's cane was a cloud of purple smoke, with several weapons floating around. "That's different." (Reader) mumbled, as she pulled away from his cane.

Fukase handed (Reader) the orbitoclast and said, "it'll be like a sewing needle to her. Just stab it through her eye. You won't get any blood on you, so long as you don't pull her eye out." (Reader) nodded her head, taking the stick from his hands. (Reader) stood up and walked out of the bush. "(Reader)!" Flower called out. (Reader) quickly spun around to face Flower, her tattered dress still fanning out elegantly. "Yes?" She tilted her head. "Be careful."

Author's note
WEE HOO! For context, orbitoclasts are very long and thick needles, that surgeons would use in lobotomies. Thanks for reading! Share, comment, and vote! Byeee!
