(I couldn't find a picture to fit this chapter.)
"What?" Flower asked. She was confused by (Reader)'s question, and unsure of how to answer. She didn't want to say something that would hurt or offend (Reader). "What do you mean by that?" Worry laced Flower's voice.
(Reader) wiped the tear that strayed from her eye, and rolled down her check. "In my world, ladies aren't supposed to be together; romantically, that is. I don't know what to do with these feelings that I have." (Reader) looked down at the ground.
"(Reader)" Flower mumbled. "You could always stay here in Wonderland." Flower suggested. "I can't. I have to go home." (Reader) cried. "But why? From what I hear, it doesn't sound that great." She spoke softly, while gently resting her hand on (Reader)'s shoulder.
"It's not bad. Really, it's not." (Reader) let a sigh escape her lips, before she made up her mind. "Let's catch up to the others." (Reader) moved Flower's hand off her shoulder. "Yeah, okay." Flower mumbled.
As the two sped up the walking pace to catch up to the rest of the group. "Looks like the black cat's back." Flower spoke. "It's getting quite late." Kurotane purred. "What do you want, Kuro?" Piko spat. "Nothing, really. I just wanted to let you know that there's a hotel up ahead, that you might want to stay the night in. The rain's only going to pour harder as the night grows." He smirked, his voice smug as he floated around Piko.
"Where's Miki?" Piko raised his voice. "Somewhere. She could be here, there, anywhere. Who's to say really?" Kuro chuckled to him self, as pointed in several different directions. "You're aren't being cute." Piko's voice came out venomous.
(Reader) watched the scene unfolded in front of her. Quite confused by Piko and Kuro's bickering banter. "Sir Kurotane." (Reader) spoke up, breaking the tension between the two Cheshires. "Yes?"
"You mentioned a hotel?" (Reader) tilted her head slightly. "Yeah, so?" Kuro asked, slowly floating towards her. "How much would it cost to stay the night?" (Reader) asked. Kuro stayed quite for a moment, as if thinking about what he was going to say next. "I have no idea." He smiled, before disappearing into a cloud of black smoke.
"Damn cat." Piko muttered under his breath. "Piko, you're a cat." Fukase butted in. "Shut up." Piko rolled his eyes at the hatter. "The hotel should be a hundred, at least. That's just for one room." Fukase said as he tried to keep his umbrella from blowing away, as strong gust of wind came by.
"(Reader) and I could share a room, while Fukase and Oliver could share another. Since Piko could just turn himself into a small cat, he could curl up with any of us." Flower joined into the conversation. (I'm so bad at writing descriptions)
"I like that idea." Piko smiled. "Oliver, you look unsure of things. Are you alright?" (Reader) asked the small blonde. "Yes. I'm fine." Oliver spoke quietly, while gently hugging James. "Are you sure?" She asked once more. "I said I'm fine!" Oliver yelled, causing James to get spoked and start flapping uncontrollably.
(Reader) jerked back slightly. In the years that she knew Oliver, they never once yelled at each other; so (Reader) was quite taken aback by her brother's sudden out burst. "Oliver." She whispered. "What!?" He continued to yell. "Why are you yelling at me?" (Reader) raised her voice.
"You've been ignoring me since we got that blade of yours. Yet you still expect me to stay your timid, and respectful Oliver!?" Oliver's face began to get red. "Who said anything about that?" (Reader) questioned. "And what do you mean 'ignoring you'? I haven't been ignoring you!"
"Like hell you haven't!" Oliver rolled his eyes. (Reader) was shocked. She had never heard him swear before. 'He was always so sweet. What 's going on?' (Reader) thought to herself. "You pretend to be all nice and polite, when really you're just a lying brat." Oliver hugged James slightly tighter.
"Excuse me! You better watch what you say to me. I didn't have to tell Mother and Father about you!" (Reader) blurted out without a second thought. "And just what do you mean by that?" Oliver asked, a mountain of attitude in his voice. "I didn't have to tell Mother and Father about you. I could have left you there." (Reader) continued speaking without awareness for what she was saying.
"What," Oliver's voice grew timid. "What do you mean by that?"
"I found you in my yard, and told Mother and Father about you." (Reader)'s voice turned cold and mean, whilst Oliver remained silent. "You're adopted Oliver! You weren't born into the (Last Name) family. Truth is, we don't even know who your real parents are." She spoke, without thinking about what she was saying.
Oliver's eyes filled with tears, and his voice broke. "No. I'm not! I'm not adopted! I refuse to believe you!" Oliver cried. "I never tell a lie, do I?" (Reader) raised a eyebrow, with spite and anger laced her voice completely.
Oliver broke into a sob, and began running from the group. He ran past a few trees before (Reader) realized what she had said. "Oliver! Wait!"
