(Reader), Oliver, Flower, and Fukase were walking down the dirt path that led through the forest; with the exception of Piko, who was more so flying rather than walking. The sun was beginning to set as the party of five made their way towards the Distortionist. (Reader) took notice of how late it was getting, and decided to speak up about it.
"It's getting rather late." (Reader) and Flower spoke in unison. The two girls looked at each other, only to look away in embarrassment. "The sun is beginning to set, how far 'til we reach the Distortionist?" (Reader) asked, turning to look at the floating Piko. "Around five hours." Piko spoke as he floated towards the ground.
(Reader) frowned. "We should set up camp, before it gets dark." Fukase chimed. (It's dark!) The four nodded at Fukase's words. "There's a clearing up ahead. It's about thirty minutes from here, but there's a shallow cave that we can take shelter in." Flower added. "You know this, how?" Oliver asked cynically. "I usally stay there when making my way home." Flower responded.
Oliver nodded. (Reader) gently elbowed him in the side. "What!?" Oliver whisper yelled. "Don't act so cynical. She's giving us a place to stay over night. We need to be grateful." (Reader) whispered to her younger brother. "She's a girl!?" Oliver whisper yelled in shock. "Yes, I was suprised too." (Reader) whispered back. He simply nodded his head, and the two quickly caught up to the rest of the group.

The group of five had spent about an hour getting everything set up. (Reader) and Flower were out in the woods, getting more supplies to help keep the fire burning. Flower made it a promint point to tell the three boys that they needed to stay by the fire. Not wanting to upset the feisty girl, they did as she said, and stayed behind. "Why did Flower ask, more like order, us to stay behind?" Oliver asked, breaking the uncomfortable silence. "It's so that the author could squeez in some Flower x (Reader) scenes." Fukase responded. "Oh." Oliver hummed.
"Do you think the author put us in the story, so that people wouldn't call them out for not adding the meme squad?" Piko asked. "Probably. I wouldn't know for sure, though. I mean, we're just side characters. We aren't all that important to the story line." Fukase responded. "Ha! Speak for yourself! Piko and I are very important to the story line, and plot development." Oliver stated proudly. "What!?" Fukase screeched.
While Fukase and Oliver bickered back and forth, Piko silently sat by the fire. He focused on blocking out Fukase and Oliver's bickering, and in the process he heard something that made his ears twitch. Cheshire's were known for having impecble hearing, they were rummered to be able to hear up to three miles; if they concentrated hard enough. Piko began blocking out all other noise, besides the metal stomping that he was hearing. The hairs on his tail, and the back of his neck, were standing up.
Piko disappeared into a cloud of teal smoke, only to have teleported in between Fukase and Oliver; pushing them apart. "What the hell-" Fukase asked, only to be cut off by Piko shushing him. "I heard something."
"What did you hear?" Oliver asked. "I don't know, but I'm going to find out. You two stay here. And don't make a sound." And with that, Piko flew up past the trees as quickly as he could. He focused on inhansing his vision, in order to see where the metal sound came from. He located where it came from, and quietly flew over to where the sound was coming from. As he drew near, he began vanishing from slight; as to prevent anyone, or thing, from spotting him. 'Oh no.'Piko thought to himself. He raced back to the camp site re-apearing as quickly as his Cheshire powers would allow him.
"Card gaurds! They're coming this way, and quickly!" Piko spoke frantically. Fukase grabbed Oliver's arm and started running towards the cave, whilst Piko summoned a bucket of water and poured it on the fire; putting it out.
"Why are we running!?" An out of breath Oliver asked. "Card gaurds work for the Red King and Queen, and they don't like cats." Piko answered, as he flew next to them. "They're most likely after Flower. And since I'm not at my domain, Father Time probably alerted the Red Queen about my absence. Which most likely led to her realizing that Flower was out and about with yours trully." Fukase spoke in between breaths. "Why would they be after Flower, and why would this 'Fathe Time' person care about if you're at your domain or not!?" Oliver futher questioned. "We'll tell you when we get to the cave." Piko responded.

(Reader) and Flower were beginning to make their way back to camp site, when Flower dropped everything she was holding; startling (Reader) and causing her to drop everything she was holding. "What is it, Flower?" (Reader) asked Flower. "Nothing, I just thought I heard something. That's all." Flower's voice came out in a low, husky, whisper; that made (Reader)'s heart pound, though she didn't know why.
Flower knelt down to pick up the things she had dropped, when she abruptly stood up. "Flower-"
"Shh!" Flower whispered, as she covered (Reader)'s mouth. Flower's eyes darted around, searching for the noise she heard. She heard what sounded like metal scraping across a rock, and she snapped her head in the direction they were headed. (Didn't wanna say she heard a twig snap, thought it be to cliché lmao)
Flower squinted her eyes to see more clearly through the growing darkness, only for here eyes to widden in horror. "Card gaurds."

I hate having that gap there^ i wrote this on Xbox. Anyhow. I'm back bitches, pleasedon'tbeoffendedbythatImeantitasatearmofindearment! But I'm back! Kinda... I got all my shit turned in before my summer deadline, less go. It was exhausting. I had been wanting to add the fourth wall breakage scene FOR SO FRICKIN LONG! And I'm so happy I did it!
