He's always been special to me.

Valentine's Day already passed, it was on Tuesday. I don't get the point of Valentine's Day. I don't hate Valentine's but I mean, why is it so special? It's just like any other normal day. Maybe for some people, they see it as one of a special day but I don't. I think it is ridiculous to dedicate and stuff one full day with love. We always go out together, do things together, spend time with each other, and such. You don't expect to just get your significant other's love and affection one day a year. Those things, you expect it every day. Valentine is like expecting to be treated special and feel like having the heart of someone you love but I already feel special when I'm with him, even on just a normal day.
We didn't go out to celebrate it. We didn't go out because we don't need to. We don't need those fancy dates, chocolates, flowers, and other stuff most people would give to their significant other during Valentine's. I have nothing but love for him and to fall in love with him every day.
Seonghwa came over to our house this afternoon since their house was full of visitors, his mom's friends visited his mom.
Reading a book in our living room I heard someone rang our doorbell. Closing the book and placing it on the table, getting up to check who was at the doorbell camera, turned out it was Seonghwa.
Opening the door to let him come in I asked, "여긴 왜 왔어? [Why are you here?]"
"내가 여기 있는 거 싫어? (Naega yeogi issneun geo silheo?)" he replied, asking me if I didn't want him in our house.
"아니 (Ani)," I responded dragging the last letter. "그냥 물어본 거야. 너는 오기 전에 항상 나에게 메시지를 보내 (Geunyang mureobon geoya. Neoneun ogi jeone hangsang naege mesijireul bonae)," I said defending myself that I was just asking because he always messages me before coming in here.
"배고프면 초밥이랑 어묵이랑 고기 가져왔는데 [I brought some sushi, fish cake, and some meat if you're hungry]," he said as he sat down on the sofa.
"어, 그래? (Eo, gurae?)" I asked, my eyes lighting up with the sound of foods.
"네 (Neh)," he assured me. "Fireflies in December," I heard him read out loud the title of the book on the table, the one that I was reading, while I was in our kitchen to grab us some drinks, banana milk that I made.
"엄마가 너한테 이걸 주라고 했어 [My mom said to give you these]," gesturing to the bag he had brought along.
"엄마한테 고맙다고 전해줘 (Eommahante gomabdago jeonhaejwo)," telling him to say thank you to his mom.
"나는 밥을 안 먹어서 너랑 같이 먹기로 했어 [I haven't eaten so I figured to eat with you]."
"안 먹었어? 그럼 밥 먹자 [You haven't eaten? Let's eat then]," I said as I came back to our living room with cups in both of my hands. I smiled when I noticed that Seonghwa was wearing the jacket I gave him this Christmas. How come I didn't notice it when he was at our door? It suits him so well, just like the way I pictured when I decided to buy him that piece of clothing. Him in pink, makes me go in awe.
I continued admiring him. I knew he could see what I was doing.
"오로라야, 하지마 (Aurora-ya, hajima)," he begged, getting the chopstick that he brought then fed me sushi. He knew what was I about to do. That I'm gonna compliment him over and over again.
"내가 뭐... 뭐했는데 (Naega mwo... mwohaessneunde?)" playing innocent asking what did I do to him after finishing the sushi he fed me.
"아, 너도 알잖아 [Ah, you know]," he said not even looking at me as he grabbed the remote, turning on the television, and putting on a movie to watch.
"널 보면 안 돼? (Neol bomyeon an dwae?)" I questioned if I can't look at him and he didn't respond.
"성화씨 (Seonghwa-ssi)," I called.
"어? (Eo?)"
"성화씨 (Seonghwa-ssi)," I repeated whining as I began shaking his shoulder.
"왜? (Wae?)" he asked turning to look at me with a small smile.
"어떻게 그렇게 잘생겼어? (Eotteohge geureohge jalsaenggyeosseo?)" I asked with a teasing smile, wondering how is he so good looking while placing both of my hands on his cheeks. His hair has gotten longer and was pushed back with a front piece falling on his forehead.
"아... (Ah...)" a small smile appeared on his face, he knew that was coming. "왜 나한테 이러는 거야? 창피하다 [Why are you being like this to me? I'm embarrassed]."
"잘생겼구나 (Jalsaenggyeossguna)," I reminded telling him how handsome he is. Kinda liking to annoy him, I just like how he reacts to things like this.
"그만 말해, 무슨 말을 해야 할지 모르겠어 [Stop telling me, I don't know what to say]."
"Just say thank you," I said as he fed me a fish cake.
"고마워 (Gomawo)," I smiled when he said thank you before taking a bite of fish cake.
"궁금한 게 있어 [I have a question]."
"그냥 해 [Just go ahead]."
"너는 왜 나를 좋아하니? [Why do you like me?]" he suddenly asked.
A small smile appeared on my lips before I looked at him straight in the eyes, "내가 왜 널 좋아하지 않을까? [Why wouldn't I like you?]"
