Question: Who has suffered the most emotional trauma out of all of you?

Percy points at Annabeth.

Annabeth points at Percy.

Piper points at Annabeth.

Jason points to himself.

Everyone: ...

Jason: Oh come on! At least you guys are still ALIVE!

Frank points at Annabeth.

Hazel points at Annabeth.

Leo points at Nico.

Everyone: *rethinks their decisions and points their other hand at Nico*

Annabeth laughs nervously.

Annabeth: Haha what? Why is everyone pointing at me? Obviously PERCY has had the most emotional trauma. Or Jason. Or Hazel. Anyway it's not me.

Percy: Wise Girl, you have had the most emotional trauma out of everyone, and we all know it.

Annabeth gives a forced laugh.

Annabeth: What? Well, maybe, but...

Percy: Let's start from the beginning. When you were seven, you ran away, met Thalia and Luke, and arrived at Camp Half Blood.

Piper: But then, just before you finished your long journey to Camp Half Blood, Thalia was killed by monsters and was turned into a tree.

Leo: Emotional trauma checkpoint: 2.

Hazel: Then, Percy turned up just in time for the Titan War and it was revealed that Luke betrayed everyone.

Frank: Finally, Luke sacrificed himself to save the world and you lost your big brother and friend of a lifetime.

Leo: Emotional trauma checkpoint: 4.

Nico: And then, just when you thought everything was going to go back to normal, you were dragged headfirst into ANOTHER prophecy and Percy disappeared.

Will: Meanwhile, Athena, who was trapped between her Greek self and her Roman self, told you to go on a quest to find the Athena Parthenon, a quest no one has survived before.

Leo: Emotional trauma checkpoint: 6.

Calypso: Then, you set off on your quest to find the Athena Parthenon, found it, survived a giant spider, and promptly fell into Tartarus.

Rachel: You then literally journeyed through Tartarus with Percy, SURVIVED IT, and fought in the war of the Earth goddess.

Leo: Emotional trauma checkpoint: 9.

Annabeth's grey eyes well up as she lets the memories she's been compressing for so long flow back into her.

Annabeth: I... I guess I just... pushed the trauma away.

Understatement of the year much? Deep down, Annabeth knew that she hadn't JUST been pushing the trauma away. She had been keeping it, compressing it, in a small box hidden away in a corner of her mind. But it was time for that box to be opened.

Annabeth swallowed the lump in her throat.

Annabeth: After Luke's death, I... I tried to talk about it with someone, but there wasn't really anybody that would truly understand. Percy... is my anchor, but even he can't a hundred percent know how I really felt. The only other people that were the most scarred by Luke's death was Grover and Thalia. But... Thalia was occupied with her Hunter duties, and...

Thalia, jumping from the sky: Beth, I'm here for you if you need to talk to someone. Keeping your emotions compressed inside you isn't good for your mental health.

Annabeth: ...and Grover was busy searching for demigods and following the path of Pan and I didn't want to burden anyone with my emotions...

Grover, emerging from a bush: Annabeth, you can always count on me if you need any emotional support. Just call me and I'll come sprinting on my hooves.

Annabeth: Thanks. And... I've been getting better with dealing with my Tararus trauma. I've been talking to Percy about it, and... it's been progressing pretty well.

Percy: It really has. At least, we've stopped having nightmares about it every night.

Annabeth: You know, I thought about seeing a therapist, but I just kind of... avoided it.

Piper: Well then, it's decided! You're going to see a therapist. End of conversation.

Annabeth: ...okay.

A/N~
Okay so either you thought this Q&A a) was dramatic asf, b) was kind of wholesome or c) sucked. Idk I'm kind of leaning towards c. This was inspired by a textpost that I saw on Instagram about how Annabeth pushed away all her emotional trauma from the PJO series and it was kind of dark :D Anyways, probably going to do a more light hearted one on Tuesday :) See ya! Bye~
