HAPPY BIRTHDAY PERCY!!!
It's also Percabeth's anniversary so here's some fluff

Question: To Percy: do you ever regret turning down the offer of becoming a god?

Percy: No!

Piper: Wait you've been offered to become a god?!?!

Percy: I- yes.

Piper: Why did you turn it down?

Grover: Guess ;)

Percy: Grover what are you-

Piper: Is it because you don't want to see everyone you love die?

Percy: Partly?

Piper: Is it because you dont want to be immortal?

Percy: Um... no

Piper catches Percy staring at Annabeth, who is reading a book and not paying attention to them.

Piper:

Piper: WAIT

Piper: OHMYGODS

Piper: YOU TURNED DOWN IMMORTALITY FOR ANNABETH?

Percy: Um

Piper tears up.

Percy: Piper-

Piper: That's the most romantic thing I've ever heard in my life!

She sniffs.

Piper: Honestly, this is why you guys are the ultimate couple.

Percy goes beet red.

Percy: I never said yes, exactly-

Annabeth looks up from her book.

Annabeth: Well... is it true? Did you turn down the offer... for me?

Turns out she was paying attention after all.

Percy turns an even brighter shade of red.

Percy: I... um...

Grover: YES HE DID OBVIOUSLY

Percy: GROVER

Grover: IM SORRY BUT THE EMPATHY LINK IS OVERFLOWING WITH EMOTION WILL YOU PLEASE JUST SAY YES IM DYING

Percy: I... um... yes

It's Annabeth's turn to tear up.

Annabeth: Really? But... why? We weren't even together yet!

Percy mutters something under his breath.

Grover: What? I can't hear you

Percy: I said that when Zeus was offering me immortality I was considering it but then I turned and looked at you and you looked really worried because you thought were going to lose me and I remembered how worried I was when I thought you were going to join the Hunters of Artemis because I thought I was going to lose you forever too so I turned down the offer and Zeus was kind of offended but then I looked at you and you were smiling so hard you were pratically glowing and somehow that made up for everything

He said all of this very quickly.

Everyone takes a moment to process what he said.

Then Annabeth launches herself at Percy and hugs him so hard he topples over.

Annabeth buries her face into Percy's shirt.

Annabeth, muffled: I lobe you

Percy: I love you too :)

Percy, still lying on the floor: See? It was all worth it in the end. If I had never turned down the offer, right now I would probably be moping around in Poseidon's castle doing immortal stuff and whatnot. I would never have met all my amazing friends or have an incredible girlfriend. I haven't regretted my decision once.

This is all too much for Piper, who starts hiccuping and sobbing and muttering something about soulmates.

She disappears into the bathroom.

Annabeth gets up from the floor and holds out a hand to Percy.

Annabeth: Get up, Seaweed Brain.

Percy: Love you too, Wise Girl ^^
