hyunjin had been watching jihyun sleep. for the past hour and a half. she was curled up on the couch of his living room, in his own apartment.

why you ask?

well, after the incident, the male had rushed her to his place as that was the only place the could think of in the current moment. that was the best place he could help her.

she had briefly woken up for an hour or so but after hyunjin explained the situation, he had given her a cup of camomile tea and since, by that point, it was quite late, she had fallen asleep.

but hyunjin couldn't. he knew who did this. and he knew why. but hey, i guess we got her some clothes though? the several shopping bags were currently situated by the door of the house.

however, the male felt strange. as if he had forgotten something important.

WAIT THE INSTITUTION.

in a panicked state, the male rushed to find his cellphone, called the centre and tried his best to think of a plausible excuse as to why they weren't back yet.

after a few seconds, the receptionist picked up the phone.

"hi! i would like to pass on the message that i am going to keep miss han situated in my apartment for tonight."

"sure sir. what is the reason behind this?"

"i uh- want to see how- uh well she does in a c-casual setting." he answered somewhat confidently.

"alright, i'll pass the massage on."

hyunjin breathed out a sigh, "thank you so much, bye!"

feeling much better than previously, the male took one last lingering glance at jihyun before going into his bedroom and trying his best to fall asleep.

the girl woke up to the sound of a bang. not the explosion type of bang but maybe the sound of something being dropped (?)

upon realising this, her eyes immediately shot open. where is the sound coming from? the only thing in my chamber is the bed.

but then she realised she wasn't in her chamber at all. she appeared to be in a living space of some sort.

upon hearing a similar bang, she turned her head to face the noise and approached where it came from while eyeing the new area.

grabbing something nearby-which happened to be a pillow- the girl continued her quest to find the source of the noise.

heart racing, she was met with a door. deciding to enter, the girl reached her pale hand onto the handle and slowly turned it, trying to make as little noise as possible, in case whatever was inside heard her.

"PUT YOUR HANDS UP!" she shouted as the aimed the pillow at the mysterious entity that awaited her in the room.
"AAAH." it screeched as it dropped what it was holding. she met the face of the creature and it was...

hYuNjIn????

"what are you doing?" she chuckled as she lowered her weapon.

the boy was currently dressed in shorts and a baggy white t-shirt with a sophisticated hairstyle which consisted of it sticking up in random directions. he's actually pretty cute.

but what made the situation funnier was that he was absolutely covered in flour.

"well i was tRyInG to make wAfFlEs but you scared me and i threw the flour everywhere!"

a mix of his silly excuse and the fact that he was covered in flour made jihyun burst out in laughter forgetting about any questions she had about her location.

"HEY! what if you were covered in flour too? how would you like that?" hyunjin posed with a pout that slowly turned into a smirk as he spoke.

the boy grabbed a handful of flour and chased after the girl, intending to throw it at her as well.

sounds of the pair's joyful laughter echoed throughout the walls of the apartment as hyunjin chased jihyun around it.

however, later on, he caught her and they were now both covered in the white power.

"you look like a ghost." jihyun snorted as she assessed the boy's apperence.

"we both look like ghosts." he added which then made the two laugh even more.

they were happy. they felt safe. far from the institute, but close to one another.

they liked this.

and she liked him.

sorry for not updating for a while!
i tried to write this chapter extra long to make up for it! i also added a bonus chapter and something called "PART ONE" which i highly recommend you check out as they will be very important to the storyline nearer to the end of the story!
