"W-What?" Gulat kong tanong. "For real? How did you know?"

Vince pointed at our back. "Told you I'm a friend."

Nakita namin si Aries sa likod. He was walking towards us. Nang makarating siya sa harap namin, nakipagtanguan siya kay Vince.

I thought he was just joking about being friends with Aries. I mean, Vince and Aries don't seem compatible. With jocose Vince and eggy Aries?

"Sorry, dude. Late," Vince told him.

Aries nodded. "Papunta na ba kayo kay Sab?"

The guy beside me snapped his finger. "Yes, bye."

"Wait, Fournier," Vince stopped him from walking. "Will you bring Sadie home after? If not, take her back here. I'll stay here until midnight."

"I always bring her home." Ophi replied after a single nod.

"You'll stay 'til midnight?" My brows furrowed at Vince.

Ano namang gagawin niya dito?

The douchebag just smirked and tapped my shoulder before urging us to leave. Tumuloy kami sa sasakyan ni Theo at nagtungo sa ospital.

"It's been a month," he said. "I'm glad she's awake."

Tumango ako. "Yup. Good for her."

The moment we arrived at the hospital, we immediately headed towards the ICU where we found her parents tearing up and talking to her. Hindi pa muna kami pumasok dahil dalawa lang daw ang maximum na pwede sa loob.

Maya-maya ay lumabas ang dad niya at nakita kami na naghihintay sa labas. He wiped off his tears and smiled at us.

"Kamusta po si Sab?" Tanong agad ni Theo.

Ngumiti ito ng mapait. "I'll just call my wife so you two can enter."

Nagkatinginan kami ni Theo nang bumalik sa loob ang dad ni Sabrina at tinawag ang asawa nito. What was with the bitter smile?

We wore a gown before sanitizing our hands and putting on a mask and gloves before entering the ICU. Nang makapasok kami sa loob ay nakita namin siyang nakatulala sa kisame habang may bandage na nakapalibot sa kaniyang ulo.

I looked at Theo when I felt he was staring at me from behind. He looked away when our eyes met.

Ako ang naunang lumapit kay Sabrina. Nang maramdaman niya ang presensya namin ay dahan-dahan siyang lumingon with no expression written on her face.

I smiled at her though I was wearing a surgical mask. I knew she will see it through my eyes.

"How are you feeling?" Umupo ako sa upuan na katabi ng hinihigaan niya. "Hoping for your fast recovery, Sabrina."

"Sab, I'm really, really sorry for leaving you that night." I could feel the regret in Theo's voice as he was saying those words. "If only I knew that that will happen, I would've bring you with me."

Lumingon ako sa kaniya. "Don't blame yourself."

"What?"

Napatingin kami pareho kay Sabrina.

"What are you talking about?" Nagsalubong ang kilay niya. "Who are you? Do I know you?"

"Sab, of course," naguguluhang sagot ni Theo. "We are your friends. Can't you remember?"

"I can't," mahinang sagot niya matapos ang pag-iling. "I'm sorry. I don't know you."

Omg. Is this the reason why her parents look so miserable kahit na gising na si Sabrina after a month of being in coma?
