Redstone Poisoning?

|Time skip - Next day|back at Mumbo's base|

Before I left yesterday I told Grian to make sure he goes and spends some time with some of the hermits. When I got back I saw a fairly big reddish-pink spot going into my sleeve, when I rolled it up it seemed to go up my arm a bit, then stopped and started a little bit in a new area. I decided to ignore it thinking that it was just irritated from my suit and undershirt rubbing against it. I decided to go get some flowers for my hobbit hole, which was looking quite bland and lacking color. [fancy words >:o]

|Shopping district|

When I got to Scar's shop once again he questioned why I was here again, so I simply said that I came to get some flowers for my hobbit hole. I was looking for something that I liked and I realized I never really have had a favorite flower so I started looking for something, I ended up picking this flower called Amaryllis which Scar joked about because it symbolized determination, beauty, and love which was kinda ironic to him. I didn't understand what he was talking about, all these were going to be used for decoration at my hobbit hole so that it looked a little more colorful like Grians. Maybes he's saying it's ironic cause I love Grian and these symbolized love..... Yeah, I have no idea what he's talking about I'm getting these so my house doesn't just look like one color blob. I was walking back to the portal to get home when I saw Grian in a boat, get pulled under the water by a drowned, he was quickly drowning as he struggled to get away from the creature. I quickly drove in after him trying to pull him up but my arm started to hurt like hell. As soon I got to the surface and onto the shore, I placed Grian down and looked at where my arm hurt. I noticed there was red seeping through my white undershirt, I quickly lifted the sleeve only to find the rash thing sort of washing away and replenishing itself at the same time. It was slightly disgusting but I tasted it[dont judge Mumbo he was only making sure it was blood and not anything else]and it tasted like Redstone dust, the only reason I knew what this tasted like was that I'd gotten face fulls of the dust when my machines would fail. It tasting like Redstone worried me as it wasn't coming off and it looked like it was only getting worse, so I decided to get it checked out with Doc and Scar as it didn't look normal. When I looked up again from my arm I saw Grian running off back to his boat, I tried to stop him but my elytra broke over the ocean and the burning pain in my arm returned so I had to retreat to the shoreline.

|Time skip - half an hour|

When I asked Doc and Scar to meet with me they were surprised since Doc and Scar haven't worked together since season 6. When I explained to them what happened they seemed less surprised since what I explained was in their domain of work when they were at area 77 which had some very strange stuff. Scar took me to his Magic village doctor(with Doc) and started trying to find something wrong or what disease or just something! They spent about 2 hours diagnosing whatever I had. When they were finished they said that it's some ancient disease called Redstone Poisoning that people who worked with Redstone or had Redstone magic could get, they also told me that it will probably take over 50%-60% of my body. They said that the most likely thing would be that it was just me using Redstone, although they did say something about how it makes sense if I have Redstone magic because of the way the Redstone interacted around me. They tried to explain that I might have some because when I'm making machines if I'm frustrated with it something would usually go wrong and when I was in a good mood it usually didn't. They also mentioned how some times when I'm scared the Redstone around me would flicker on and off quickly. Once they were all done explaining everything to me they suggested I make water-proof clothes and something like a Redstone torch or block on me because when it starts to get worse I will get headaches from power shortage. [basically, he's turning into a piece of Redstone dust] I start walking back to my hobbit hole when Scar tells me that it will probably be at full in about 1-2 months which worries me because I never know when I might fall in a random water source and almost die.

|Mumbo's Hobbit Hole|

I start getting waterproof fabric and some other things that are waterproof and start making new clothes, I completely ditched my elytra seeing that if it broke above any source of water I could hurt myself. Getting everything and sewing it together took almost 2 whole weeks, I also did a little tinkering with compressed Redstone and made these shields that activate from a power source that I can control into different shapes. When I brought this up to Scar, Scar told me that I definitely have Redstone magic and asked me to imagine in my hand a sort of Redstone blob, I successfully did it but only with anything Redstone related touching me which means I just need my arm braces or sword to do it. When I went to look for Grian today I couldn't find him instead I found a note that said:

"Dear hermits, I have gone away temporarily to find something I don't know if I will ever return, if I don't please don't waste your lives away morning over me."

"Love, Grian"

I started crying slowly walking aver to Iskall's tree. When I was only at Grian's front door I turned back and decided to stay there. When I was walking I started crying harder than I ever had before, but because of the Redstone had moved its way up to my face it constantly burned. I kept asking myself

Why would Grian leave

Was it because of me

Did I do something wrong

I did do something wrong didn't I

Then I heard someone behind me.

"Hey Mumbo you alright dude?"

...

"Mumbo?"

"Iskall...He's gone." "Who's gone?"

"Grian's gone." "GRIANS GONE! FOREVER!!" I turned around and burst into tears once again but this time Iskall was hugging me.

"Don't worry Mumbo, Grian Probably went on a grind trip he won't be gone forever" "BUT THIS SAYS HE MAY NEVER COME BACK!!!"

"Let me see that." . . . . . "It says he's gone looking for something temporarily he'll probably come back in like a month or two dude."

"BUT IF ALSO SAY HE MAY NEVER COME BACK!!"

"I know that. That's why if he doesn't come back in the next week or two we'll start a search party."

....

.....

"O-o-kay"
