After the exciting episode of The Late Late Show with James Cordon, my face is not as discussed. Many people find the whole ordeal with Harry to be irrelevant since it happened almost a month ago and no one has found my name yet. Linda was very relieved after she watched the episode. She texted me after reviewing all of it and was shocked that Harry shut down the rumors so easily, even though she thought he didn't have to say as much as he did.
Sofia and I are finally getting settled in LA. Her parents have threatened to fly to see us, but we've assured them we're alright. Sofia and I have been invited to some parties by her work friends, but we've politely declined. We didn't come here to party. We came to work, and that's what we're doing. Sofia is still writing articles about celebrities right now, but her promotion will come soon. She's been trying to think of a script idea for a while but has come up with nothing yet.
I've been waiting for the news about my audition. If I don't hear anything in a week, I didn't get the part. It's been four days, so I didn't need to worry yet. If I worry, then I'll be disappointed if I didn't get the part. Linda said the producers reached out to her to tell her my audition was one of the best but didn't give any indication about whether I got the part or a callback.
I haven't spoken much to Harry either. He texted me after the episode finished and asked if Sofia and I would be making it to the barbecue. I reluctantly agreed to go and asked if we needed to bring anything. He wanted us to make everyone drinks when we get to his house so he could see how good we really were.
"So he wants us to bartend," Sofia concluded at Harry's request. "He better pay me then." My understanding is that the party was going to be small.
He then asked if we could bring fruit and chip dip. That was something Sofia and I could do. Provide the alcohol and the dip. That was the last thing I had spoken to Harry about. Now it was the Fourth of July. The party was at six, which made Sofia stressed. She had to leave work early so she could come back and make her famous guacamole. I was making my famous fruit dip. She also stopped at the store for us to make some liquor concoctions and fruity drinks.
I was a little worried to see Jeff. The last time we saw each other, he was mad at me because Harry and I were all over the internet. I also figured he would not be happy about my agent, Linda, contacting him about what's been going on. Harry says that Jeff changed his mind, but he didn't look like he cared much about me. It doesn't bother me, but I don't want to have to deal with passive-aggressive comments.
Sofia was more excited about this than I was. She was talking about the fact that Harry Styles invited us to his house for a party and he took the liberty of finding Sofia a date. I tried to be supportive, but I was only going to thank him for what he said on the episode. Sofia thinks I'm crazy for not freaking out about this.
"Ready?" I asked and she nodded. We had bags of alcohol and our containers of dip for the party. We just had to show up and have a good time. Sofia wanted everything to be perfect and was practically ordering me around.
We pulled into his driveway and walked to his door. I rang the doorbell while Sofia looked down at the items in her hands. She was checking over her mental checklist while also making sure she still looked good. Thankfully, she didn't dress overboard like how we usually do when we go out for the Fourth of July. Although, this year we knew we had to be responsible. A little house party at Harry Styles's house would be more than enough.
"Relax, Sofia, you look great," I assured her.
"Thanks. I feel like I'm forgetting something..." She mumbled. The door was unlocked and opened to reveal Harry's smiling face.
"Hello, ladies, come on in." He said, opening the door wider for us. Sofia stepped in first and I followed her. "What do you have?" He shut the door behind us.
