Sunday.

Leo was gone, officially gone. His bedsheets were on the floor like the pillows, and his bed frame splitted slightly.

"What? Call the police, call the police! Leo has been kidnapped!" Dad immediately ran out of his room, running to the sitting room for his phone.

I stepped into his room, my eyes taking in his dishevelled room. His clothes weren't hanged in the wardrobe and mom knew. We both knew Leo wasn't kidnapped, Leo left, he ran away from the house with his clothes and gadgets, leaving behind the trophies and awards he won.

Mom walked in behind me, her red eyes looking around the room as if Leo would crawl under the bed and tell her it was all a bad dream. "My baby."

I looked around the room again, it was honestly my first time in his room. It was dull, nothing like I expected it to be. I thought it would be a bright blue or light green, maybe even teal coloured with posters of girls on the wall or a TV and a video game console, but it was different. Grey, void of posters, void of anything colorful at all except his shelf of gold trophies.

"M-my baby." Mom sat on the floor, she was hugging his sheets to her chest. Maybe she was inhaling his scent, but there was nothing in the room that smelt like him not even his bedsheets, Leo might not have been home since last night and no one noticed.

"The police will be here soon. Mira, get up and fix your face, we don't need to like weaker than now." Dad said lowly. Like a switch, mom snapped her neck at my dad, her soft sobbing quietened and standing on her feet.

"My son isn't here because of you and you are telling me not to look weak?" Mom began. "Who do you think you are."

"If you give me that attitude one more time Mira, I promise you won't like it. Now, go to our room and fix your face." It felt like a replay, mom smiled at him and walked away without a single glance at anyone. I stayed frozen to the spot, hoping dad was too furious to look at me.

"After everything I've done for that kid." Dad said. "Reo, how good are in Physics?"

"What?"

"Poor in English? I said how good are you in physics!" I jumped on the spot.

"Terrible." I whispered quietly.

"Havard interview is tomorrow, it'll have to work. Listen to me carefully Reo, from now on, you're Leo. That ungrateful brother of yours doesn't know what he let go but you, you my darling daughter, will be a perfect fit."

I darted my eyes around him. "Mira! When next you're going to the supermarket, tell me. I have some shopping to do for our new Leo."
