She didn't inherit the 'smart genes' in the family, that was the first reason she was pushed aside. Still Reo struggled to get enough grades, but she can't be smart even after trying. Besides, it'll be wasted efforts...

"Now, what is your name?"
"Leo Murray." My voice was barely audible.
"Louder! What is your name?" He asked again, his hold on the clipboard was getting tighter and the smile he once had was looking slimmer.
"Leo Murray." I said firmly.
My mom was sitting on their bed behind my dad, she was busy looking at her phone, tapping quickly and hidding any smile that crept on her face. Dad couldn't see it, he was too busy 'preparing' me for the interview with Havard.
"Good. You need to work on making your voice lighter, like Leo's. Anyway, what is your qualification?" He tucked something on the clipboard he was holding.
"I have straight A's in all my subjects?" I wasn't sure, I barely managed to get a C in Math sometimes.
"Not yours Reo, Leo's!" He shouted.
"But I'm not even Leo, I'm Reo." I mumbled under my breath, sneaking a peek at my mom but she didn't even look up.
"What did you say? Speak up! Say it to my face." My mom looked up for a minute, she looked at me ran her eyes over my appearance then looked back down.
I won't blame her for not saying anything. I looked horrible. The quick haircut, or maybe just the scissors cutting my curls, destroyed my hair. Havard isn't stupid, they would know I'm an impostor at a first glance, there were too many things Leo and I didn't share, we weren't even twins to begin with.
"I can't be Leo. They'll notice straight away, I don't know how stupid you might think they are but I know they're pretty much the smartest school around." My voice lowered at the end, I looked at my bare feet without looking at how pissed off my dad would be.
I was sitting on the stool placed infront of the dressing mirror, my hair up in a destroyed afro and dressed in a pair of shorts and a tank top.
"Not with that attitude you won't." He got up.
There wasn't much space between us, he crouched until he was at the same height with me. "Listen to me very carefully Reo, if you mess this up for me..."
He squished my face with his large calloused palm, I might not be a genius like Leo but I knew there was a hidden 'or else' and I wasn't ready to find out what that would mean.
"Tommorow's the big day, get some sleep and wake up early, we nees to practice some more before then." He dismissed me with a small shove to the exit of their door.
Was this what it meant being Leo? Maybe that's why he ran away: the pressure.
