. Sunday. .
"Beautiful." Dad chuckled behind me but I didn't want to look, I didn't want to see how my hair was ruined. "Open your eyes, Reo."
I shook my head, I wish I hadn't. I didn't feel the bounce of my curls tickling my neck, and I wanted to cry. Instead, I reached forward to grip the edge of the sink, wile still trying my best not to open my eyes.
"Didn't you hear me? Open your eyes Reo, now." I opened my eyes.
My curls were gone. My hair had been ruined.
It felt like Leo was staring back at me only with a dress and lipgloss on, but I still wanted to cry. My curls were chopped off the back of my head and reduced to the top, only framing my forehead. My hands went to the back of my head, it felt rough, but the point was it's my hair.
"What do you think? Whatever, I don't even care." Dad left the scissors on the sink. "Get the clothes and the rest from the living room, I need you downstairs in five minutes."
Alone without anyone by my side. Maybe I should have just ran with Leo, maybe if Leo and I got along much more we would have ran away, but what if Leo isn't fine? What if he's kidnapped and no one knows where he might be, and rather than our parents looking for him, they replaced him, with me.
Wait. They want me to impersonate Leo. They want my to be Leo and fake it all for him, I can't do that.
"Dad." I clench my fist and walk out of the bathroom, marching straight to the living room and not stopping until I was infront of them. "I'm not doing this."
The white lights reflected on his spray tanned skin, his head halfway to the ceiling and all the same, tall and huge. The light trailed down to his full brown eyes and the sharp jaw down to muscles biceps.
"What did you say?" Dad asked. Mom still sat on the white doubleseated couch, her brown curls up in an afro ponytail and her skirt hugging her slim legs.
"Im not doing this. I won't do any of this, it's fraud and I could go to jail." I muttered weakly, my voice getting softer at the end.
"You don't trust your dad? I won't let anything happen to you Reo, I won't let anything happen to Havard." Dad smiled.
"What about Leo? Won't-"
"We will never mention the name of the ungrateful son, Reo. Now, remember what I told you in the bathroom, get dressed." He waved his hand to the stairs for me to get to my room.
"Remember what I said? I said I won't do this." I persisted.
"Do you really think you have an option in this Reo?" His smile hardened. "For the last time, go upstairs and get dressed, Reo. We have alot of practice to do."
"But I-"
"Now!" I jumped and scurried to my room, the bag of clothes and stretchy material in it.
"I don't want to do this." I whispered in the comfort of my room.
"Five minutes Reo! I'm calling the police now!" .
