“Type mo si Kuya?” Nakangiwing tanong ko kay Anne.
“Bakit? Ang gwapo kaya ng Kuya mo!”
“Do you have any idea how weird it is to you compliment my brother who knew nothing but annoy me?” Seryosong tanong ko kay Anne.
“Ay totoo yan.” Dagdag ni Sandy, who for the first time talked since I tagged along with the two of them. “Kita mo, pati Kuya ko naggwapuhan ka eh mukhang itlog yun.”
Natawa ako sa sinabi ni Sandy pero napatigil ako nang tiningnan nila akong dalawa. “Bakit?“ Tanong ko
“Mukha kang masungit kapag hindi nakangiti. Pero ang cute mo kapag tumatawa!” Sabi ni Anne.
“Thank you?”
“Parang kanina ka pa hindi sigurado sa mga sinasabi mo.” Puna ni Sandy.
“Minsan lang naman. And what do you want me to do? Not accept Anne’s compliment?” Sabi ko. “Anyway, may kasabay kayo mag-lunch? Sabay kayo sa amin nina Jenny.”
“Jenny as in Jenny Castel?” Tanong ni Anne.
“Yeah, we’re childhood friends, why?”
“Brat daw yun.” Sagot ni Sandy.
“Minsan.” Sagot ko. “Pero mabait yun kahit maarte yun. Sabay kayo sa amin kung wala kayong ibang kasabay.” Dagdag ko habang natatawa.
As expected, madaming klase na kasama ko silang dalawa. I already suspected it since major subject ng Business Administration course ang first subject namin. And it’s great that I made friends with them and we clicked. Anne and I for now. I think medyo nagdadalawang isip pa si Sandy.
But she can take her time. Baka magbago rin isip n’ya once sumama sila sa amin mag-lunch. Gian and Henry are great with people. And those two are really nice to be with, of course, if you’re not the subject of their teasing.
The two girls are great company and they were so nice to tell what was the last lesson in the subjects that we have together. Sinabi rin nila kung sinong professors ang mahilig sa pop quiz.
When lunch time came, I can see that they’re a little nervous so I gave them some peace and quiet. Since those two words can’t exist when Henry and Gian comes in the picture.
And yes, I am right. The two were seriously shocked. Seeing how the three actually are.
“Ayoko! Mahal ko pa buhay ko! Pre ilayo mo sa akin ‘yang girlfriend mo bago ko matinidor ‘yan!”
But Gian held Henry instead while Jenny took out her kit. I can tell that the two are just joking pero ang OA ni Henry.
“Kung si Gian eh pumapayag na tusuk-tusukin mo yung ugat, ako hindi! Try mo si Tori!”
“Gusto mo bang barilin ako ni Tito?!”
“Okay, enough. Masyado na kayong maingay.” Pagsaway ko sa tatlo. “Anong ginagawa mo?” Tanong kay Henry dahil bigla s’yang umupo sa gitna ni Sandy at Anne.
“Wala akong tiwala sa inyong tatlo. Kaya dito muna ako.”
“Pati ako?” Gulat na tanong ko.
“Oo. Ikaw pinakanormal sa ating apat kaya nakakatakot ka malamang kapag tinopak ka.”
I don’t know if I should find that funny or offending. Pero si Jenny at Gian eh natawa.
Thankfully, umayos naman na yung tatlo. Kaya nagiging komportable na yung dalawa sa kanila.
