"Huh? Yeah, I am." Sabi ko at tumigil sa paghalumbaba. "Just get me some tea." Sabi ko na may ngiti sa labi.
Nang mawala si Red sa study room, napabuntong hininga na lang ako at tiningnan ulit yung desk ni Clinton.
As usual, kung wala ako sa kung anong event na kahit ayaw ko puntahan ay kailangan, nasa study room ako. But today's not usual. This week is not going to be the usual.
Kasi wala si Clinton ng dalawang linggo. He's in Great Nephrite for a conference. Usually sa mga conferences na aabutin ng linggo yung tagal ay yung Prime Minister ang pumupunta. Pwede namang King or Queen. Pero lahat sila nasa ibang bansa. That makes me the only member of the Royal Family in Great Amber as of today.
I don't know what's going on with the simultaneous conferences for different unions of not just our continent but also ones that involves other continents are happening, but I'm sure it's big and serious.
Domestic Relations pa lang kasi ang hinahawakan ko at may after class or weekend sessions pa ako sa World Politics kaya I can't really think of what's the international issue right now that only the leaders of countries knows.
Besides, being the only Royal left here, I have no choice but to tend to the issues and projects that needs immediate decisions. And my work desk in the study room has never been full! Kulang na lang pagdikitin ko table namin ni Clinton sa dami ng folders at reference books na nasa mesa ko.
Wala naman akong mapapala sa pagtulala kaya naman sinimulan ko na basahin yung files na within this week ay kailangan na ng desisyon.
"Meow.
Napaangat yung tingin ko at nakita si Vicky at Clint na nakatayo sa ibabaw ng malinis na desk ni Clinton. Vicky meowed again while Clint laid down on the desk.
I don't speak cat but I just know that they're looking for Clinton.
"Your dad's going to be home." I told the cats with a smile. "Just not for the next two weeks." I added.
Nang makita kong humiga na rin si Vicky sa desk ni Clinton sa tabi ni Clint, napabuntong hininga na lang ako. They're adorable.
For the first few days, nag-aaway pa silang dalawa. I don't know what got into them that they're now starting to get along but I'm just glad.
"Here's your tea, Your Highness."
"Thank you." Sabi ko mabilis na nilingon si Red para ngitian s'ya.
The business related stuff were pretty easy to understand. I could see which businessmen were trying to put themselves under the good light of the King, Queen, or Clinton. And yeah, me. But I agreed to the proposals that will make the kingdom benefit.
But I ended up staring at the file about the firearms and combat gears that are going to be delivered to the military base near the demilitarized zone. That zone is the land that Great Amber and Great Citrine is fighting over for decades. It's not even a proposal to order firearms.
It's a report. Which could mean that the Armed Forces of Great Amber might soon engage in battle with Great Citrine.
Kaya naman tinawagan ko si Kuya Julius na sumagot agad.
"Let me guess, you need help over political stuff?"
"Not yet." Sagot ko.
"Eh bakit ka tumawag?"
"Bawal mangumusta?"
"Hoy, sa tinagal mong d'yan ka na nakatira ngayon mo lang ako tinawagan, aba."
