Chapter 25

VICTORIA

"Alam mo, tinatamad na tuloy ako lumabas." Sabi ni Clinton.

"Sabi mo pupunta rin sina Finn at Jon diba? You're not going to pull them out of the crowd?" Tanong ko.

"They have an entire week to freely visit the Palace. At pwede naman sila magpa-appointment." Sagot n'ya at inayos yung pagkakaakbay sa akin. "Sinong dino-drawing mo?"

"Sandy. Does it look like Sandy?" Sabi ko at iniharap yung notebook sa kan'ya.

"You kidding me? It does...teka, yung pinunit mo dati sa notebook na 'yan."

Itutuloy ko na sana yung pag-drawing kay Sandy pero dahil sa sinabi ni Clinton, tiningnan ko s'ya.

"Ah, now I know why that Lautner guy looks familiar." Sabi n'ya.

"Kilala mo s'ya?" Gulat na tanong ko.

"Does it look like na makakasundo ko 'yon?" He asked with a pointed look.

Which made me shake my head with my lips pursed together. Because Ashton...is kind of self absorbed. He's rude to most people and I remember the my teachers in high school back in Great Crystal, asking me about him. If he had any family issues because his attitude was off. They probably would have given him failing marks if it wasn't for the fact that he's smart.

"So, how does he look familiar to you?" Tanong ko.

"The piece of paper that you teared off that notebook, it's his face."

My mouth hung open as I tried to remember what he said and my face contorted in disgust upon remembering it. I remembered how I used to draw him. Too much that I ended up buying a new notebook solely for his face. But that notebook's been burned to ashes since I broke up with him.

Binaba ko tuloy sa coffee table yung notebook at pencil para panoorin na lang yung movie na nagp-play sa TV.

"Drawing him was a mistake and a waste of time." Sabi ko at ipinatong yung ulo ko sa balikat n'ya.

"Buti naman."

"Bakit parang galit ka sa kan'ya?" Tanong ko at inangat yung ulo ko para tingnan s'ya.

"I simply don't like him the first time I saw him. And even more so when you told me what happened. Not entirely but I get the gist of it." Sagot n'ya.

Tinitingnan ko nang maigi yung mukha ni Clinton at nakikita kong pinipigilan n'ya yung pagsasalubong ng kilay n'ya.

"It's not physical." Hindi ko naman pinaplano sabihin, pero bigla na lang lumabas sa bibig ko 'yon. "Though the scar on my leg was a one time thing that lead to me breaking up with him."

"So...yun lang yung time na sinaktan ka n'ya?"

"Physically, yeah, though it nearly happened a couple of times. But it's more on the emotional side, according to Lauren's therapist."

I then sat sideways to face him and it's odd that I just told him. Like we were having a normal conversation. It took me a couple of sessions to tell the therapist what my relationship with Ashton was. But here Iam, telling Clinton what happened in summary when he wasn't even prying.

Ashton...is controlling. If he doesn't like what I'm wearing, he'll be cursing like there's no tomorrow. Calling me an attention whore and all sorts of names that not even Jenny, Henry, nor Gian has ever called me jokingly. God, he even made me choose between having a date with him when Lauren was having a breakdown.

It's as if he wanted my world to revolvle around him and only him. Oras-oras kung mag-message kung nasaan at sino kasama ko kapag hindi kaming dalawa magkasama.
