Michael stayed as far away from Kailee as possible when they got to the museum. Of course, that was hard considering he was in the group she was chaperoning.
It was good for her because she was able to keep an eye on Nick in case the vampires attacked. Or because Micheal decided to test her patience. She had previously told Nick to stay close to her so that nothing bad would happen to him. And so that she wouldn't panic.
Michael kept giving Kailee glances, but his expression was different. His eyes held fear and...curiosity, which was never a good thing. She doesn't blame him, though. Most of the time, kids get scolded but definitely not attacked.
"Ok, next we are going to go to the airplane section. Stay close. No one needs to get lost today," she instructed her group.
They got to the airplane section, and Kailee let the kids go into the model plane (following them, of course).
"Everyone, make sure to go back to the rainbow colored wall when you are down exploring the plane. I will meet you there after I get out as well," Kailee told her group.
Nick stayed behind, so Kailee stayed with him. He sat in one of the seats and started to bounce up and down. "Take a picture of me, Kailee!" He laughed.
She rolled her eyes, but took out her phone. After snapping a picture of him, she plopped down in the seat next to him and took a picture of them both.
"Hey Nick! Want to see something cool?" She asked him with a smirk.
Nick nodded, and Kailee looked around so that no one was watching or near. Snapping her fingers, Nick was wearing a pilot's outfit in seconds.
He blinked in shock. "How'd you do that? Does this have something to do with this morning?" He asked curiously.
Kailee laughed. "Yeah. I think I might have some witch blood in my family. That's part of the reason why I can do that."
Nick nodded in understand and ran up to the piloting area, immediately plopping in the seat. "This is pilot Nick, ready for take off," he recited. Kailee laughed and rolled her eyes.
She snapped her fingers, and he was in his regular clothes once again. "Come on, Nick. We have to go meet up with the other kids."
Nick hopped up and raced out of the plane. Laughing to herself, Kailee followed him out.

"Hey, Kailee? Can I go to the bathroom?" Nick asked her.
"Sure Nick. It's right over there." She pointed.
Nick ran over to the bathroom and opened the door, only to be pulled in before he could even take a step. Nick's first view was Michael.
"Who is she?" Michael asked.
"What?" Nick asked.
"That girl who says she's your mom. She said it herself, she's not dating your father, and we all know your mom's dead," he spat.
Nick didn't want to think about his dead mother, so he pushed that thought away.
"So? What does this have to do with Kailee?" He asked.
"Where did she come from? She's not a relative because she looks nothing like you." Michael eyed him.
"I found her in the woods. My father and I took her in. She treats me as her son. So what?" Nick replied cockily.
"Why was she in the woods?" He asked Nick, smirking.
Nick froze. 'What do I say?' "She didn't have a home?" He told him, but Nick was a very bad liar, so it came out like a question. Michael shoved Nick harder against the wall as Nick flinched.
That's when he heard screaming from outside the bathroom. Michael must have heard it, too, because he let Nick drop and started towards the door.
Nick followed after his bully. When he opened the door, Nick realized what all the screaming was about. People were running because of other people, but those weren't people. These people had fangs. These were vampires, and they were here for Kailee.
The last thing Nick remembered before he was grabbed by the arm and rushed out was himself screaming one word over and over again. "KAILEE!"
