Two hours spent with his family and Lacey was already suspicious of Kailee. Of course, Kailee did go a tad bit overboard, but Chris was not going to open that can of worms. He loved his life too much.

John had already gone to work, so Nick, Lacey and Chris took to watching TV to cure their inevitable boredom. Chris had no idea what Kailee was doing, though. That was, until they all heard pounding on the stairs.

All of them snapped their heads towards the stairs as Kailee came back flipping down them. Once she hit the floor, she kept going.

"Kailee, slow down your going to hit a-" Nick started.

It was too late. Kailee had already hit the wall, face first as her legs stood in the air, leaning on the wall. She flipped and hit the floor.

"...wall," Nick ended, wincing.

They all raced over and saw she was smiling at the ceiling. "Hey! What's up? I know! You!" She laughed.

"Are you okay?" Lacey asked, concerned.

"Oh! Ice cream!" Kailee hopped up and tore into the freezer. She opened the vanilla ice cream and ran outside. She came back with a red substance on it, sitting down on the couch to eat it.

"What's the red stuff?" Chris asked cautiously, already having a disturbing hypothesis. If this was what werewolves were like when they were high, then Chris made a mental note to never ever let Kailee have weed (if she hadn't already sniffed some, considering the circumstances).

"Don't you recognize it? It's blood, silly! It's delicious! Don't worry, though, I'm not a disgusting vampire! I'm a we-" Kailee started, but Chris quickly and wisely clamped a hand over her mouth.

"I'm taking Kailee to her bedroom. Give us a minute." Chris smiled nervously. Nick got the hint and stalled Lacey while Chris dragged Kailee from the room and upstairs.

"What the hell, Kailee!?" He scolded. She laughed and started to jump on her bed. This was not Kailee at all. She was usually very careful about her secret. Something was very wrong here, and Chris didn't like it one bit.

Suddenly, he saw something purple sticking out of the female werewolf's pocket. He lunged to grab it quickly while she was distracted. He stepped away from her and examined it closely, but he couldn't tell what it was, not exactly. It seemed like some type of plant, though.

Chris hurriedly locked Kailee in her bedroom before she could escape and trudged downstairs. "Lacey, do you know what this is?"

Lacey took it and rolled it in between her palms, studying it closely. "Where did you get this?" Lacey asked in slight surprise.

"Why? What is it?" Chris asked warily.

"Chris, this is wolfsbane," Lacey told him.
