Kailee was highly confused when she got back to complete consciousness, and the pounding headache she had didn't help. She trudged down the stairs to see Lacey with wolfsbane in her hand. Kailee's immediate reaction was to scream, and all heads snapped towards her.

"That's wolfsbane, you nimrod! Why is it in this house?!" She asked.

"It's just a flower, relax drama queen." Lacey rolled her eyes at the werewolf.

Chris glanced at Kailee, shooting her an apologetic look. Kailee, being a werewolf with temperament issues, didn't rationalize with the fact that Lacey had no clue what she was and reacted on impulse. "Listen here! I was here before you! This was my territory before you, and I am an Alpha above you! So don't you go and be sassing me!"

It was harsh and very rude, but Kailee had no view on tact by that point. "You come here and act like you can be the Alpha and be my boss, but you've got it wrong! Chris is my friend, and you can't steal my best friend from me! Nick is my son, and you can't treat him like he's your own! You can't do that to me! I've been through enough wolf crap to take anymore of it!"

Lacey looked terrified from her outburst, and Kailee was slightly smug at that, but quickly came to the full realization as to why. She felt her canines sticking out, eyes glowing a bright golden, and could feel her hair sparking up a flame. She took a few deep breaths to calm herself down as the effects died down and disappeared.

Nick gripped Kailee's hand, and Chris laid his hand on her shoulder for comfort as Lacey slammed herself against a wall in fright.

"What are you?" She blurted out.

Kailee sighed and stepped cautiously towards her. "Lacey, I'm a werewolf, and vampires are after my hide. Welcome to Twilight!"

"What?!" She screamed.

"Sorry, but it's true," Chris told Lacey.

"I want proof," Lacey demanded suspiciously.

"Oh, and my canines, hair sparking, and yellow eyes wasn't proof enough for you?" Kailee cocked her head sarcastically.

Lacey shook her head no. The werewolf huffed and shifted into her wolf. Lacey's eyes widened, and Chris helped her to stay standing.

John came through the door. "I'm home! How is-" He stopped and stared at Kailee in her wolf form, then at Lacey. "What happened now?" John dropped the groceries and sighed in exasperation.

"I'll tell you all about it once we get Lacey used to her new adjustment," Kailee told him as she shifted back.

Little did they know, more surprises were to come.

Hey! So you like the chapter? I had to think of a really good way to introduce Lacey to the supernatural world! Thanks for being patient, and bye my doggies!
