-7- I didn't mean to
POV Yibo
Yibo felt miserable. Because once again everything just went wrong and his way of wanting to explain himself ended up making Xiao Zhan, the only one he likes and sympathizes with from the staff, cry. It depressed him so much that even tears came to his eyes when he thought about how much he had hurt Xiao Zhan.
As he sat in his room that evening, wiping his tears from his eyes once again, he wished he could take back all his words and that Xiao Zhan would continue to look as cheerful as he had at lunch.
After dinner, he couldn't take a bite, he confided in his family and told them everything. And even then he couldn't hold back his tears. "I'm so ashamed because I made such a mess of the nicest one in the field, the only one who is willing to spend his lunch break with me. I just wanted to tell him that I care about him."
"Yibo, we know this, as your family. But your coworkers don't. And it was really bad what you said to those two social workers and especially to Xiao Zhan. I can understand how much that must have hurt him. You should have spoken to him alone instead of bringing him down like that in front of everyone." His mother explained.
"Like mom said, we're your family and we understand you, but that doesn't apply to xiao zhan. So why don't you take him into your office and talk to him privately. Explain your reasons, tell him that you're afraid he'll get into trouble if something happens. Tell him that you're worried he'll overreach himself. Because that's what you wanted to tell him, isn't it?" His father asked.
"Mn. I see him exhausting himself day after day, taking far too little care of himself. I'm afraid if he's not careful, he could make a serious mistake and get into serious trouble."
"Then tell him the same." His big brother replied angrily.
"Hey Hai Kuan, what's wrong with you?" Yibo's father asked.
"Of course. My little brother has made a big mess of things by blaming Xiao Zhan for the laziness of some of the staff. I don't want to know how xiao zhan is feeling or what he thinks. I like Xiao Zhan, he's such a nice guy and always cheerful. I can't believe Yibo made him cry just because he didn't think about what he said." Hai Kuan replied.
"You know Xiao Zhan too?" Yibo wanted to know.
"Yes. I met him at a seminar for dying care." Said Hai Kuan.
" You think he'll accept my apology?"
"Good question. Maybe Xiao Zhan will need a few days to process this. In any case, you should explain your reasons to him as you explained them to us." Yibo's mother replied.
Since then, Yibo sat in his room and thought about what he could say to Zhan and how. And especially how he could get Xiao Zhan to forgive him again.
After a very restless night, Yibo went to work in the morning. When he arrived there, Xiao Zhan was already there and prepared everything for the physical and memory training.
Yibo would have liked to go to him immediately, but since he had to take care of some things in the office first, the conversation with Xiao Zhan had to wait.
In the following hours until lunch break, Yibo had tried again and again to find a good time to talk to Xiao Zhan. But either he was so busy with his work that he had no time, or Yibo was stuck in his office because he had several urgent phone calls, e-mails or orders to make.
At lunchtime Yibo went to the canteen to get something to eat for himself and Zhan, but when he came into the small room, Xiao Zhan had not been there. The documents and papers had already been filled out and the files were back in the cupboard again, but there was no sign of Xiao Zhan.
