A/N: This is the last chapter. Actually this book was planned quite differently and also much longer. But somehow it turned out completely different. And so this book ends as soon as this chapter is over. I will certainly try to write something in this direction again sometime, which will then be the way I had imagined it and will also be longer. But until then three more stories are waiting to be completed. But little by little. After all, the strength lies in silence. To be honest, since I started working again, I often find it difficult to find the time and desire to write afterwards. And that's probably why this story has suffered the most. Nevertheless, I hope it was able to entertain you a little and was not too boring.

Two Fathers (last chapter)

Zhan and Yibo were sitting at the adoption center in Beijing waiting for their adoption agent. She had called them in the morning and asked them to come. The timing couldn't have been more bad. Because today is not only Yibo's 30th birthday, but also the day the two moved. Finally they leave their apartment and move into their own little house.

It has been six years since Zhan and Yibo met and became a couple, and the two have been happily married for four years. Two years ago they decided not to buy a house, but to let a house be built, according to their wishes and ideas. And one year ago they finally found a suitable plot of land and the construction work could begin.

A month ago the construction work was completed and the house was ready for occupancy. And while the two of them are now sitting here in the office of the adoption center and waiting for their adoption agent, the move is taking place at their home. Fortunately, the families of the two are there to coordinate and supervise everything.

When Miss Chen finally came to them, she looked at them with a bright smile and said, "My dear Wang's, here you are at last. I am happy to inform you personally that your adoption application has been accepted and you are now officially entitled to adopt one child, or two or three. Whatever you want."

They were already preparing to adopt a child from abroad, although they had already lost their heart to a pair of siblings they met at an orphanage a few weeks ago when they brought some donations there. They also work there as volunteers.

And two months ago a brother and sister came to the orphanage. A three-year-old boy named A-Yuan and his one-year-old sister Mia Sue. Zhan and Yibo were immediately hooked and took them to their hearts. The thought that they could be their children, if only someone would give them the chance, made them sad. Who in China would allow a same-sex couple to adopt children?

But now? Suddenly everything looks very different. And Miss Chen had some more news for them. "I know you two are desperate to adopt A-yuan and Mia Sue, we talked about it recently when we met at the orphanage. Well, I'm happy to tell you that if you really want them, you can take them home this weekend." She handed Zhan and Yibo a form that they only need to sign to officially adopt the two children they loved from day one.

Yibo grabbed the pen with trembling hands and signed immediately and Zhan immediately afterwards. They looked at each other and fell into each other's arms crying. They couldn't believe that this really happened. They were so overwhelmed and happy that they couldn't find words to say anything but, "Thank you."
