"Clear your schedules for the weekend!" May plops down at the lunch table aggressively.

"Oh no, what do you have planned?" Jacob rolls his eyes.

"Yeah, last time you said to clear our schedules we ended up grounded for 2 weeks!" Abby exclaims.

"Such little faith in me" May shakes her head. "I guess you don't want to go away this weekend," she says nonchalantly.

"Go away? Where?" Adam is the last to sit down at the lunch table.

"Then I guess it's just Adam and I this weekend," May sighs, pulling on her auburn hair.

"May just spit it out!" Jacob says.

"Well, our BFFE-," she starts, but is cut off by Adam, "E?"

"Best friend forever and ever, duh" she states like its common knowledge, "Anyway, our BFFE is turning 18 this weekend, so I thought that we could go up to my uncle's cabin to celebrate," she smiles.

"Wait, the cabin in that creepy woods? No, thanks, I'm out," Jacob shakes his head.

"Oh come on don't be such a baby. Yeah, I'm in," Adam says.

"What about you Abbs? You in?" May asks.

"I guess," she says hesitantly.

"Great, we're all going except Jacob" May smiles.

"I don't get a say in this?" I speak for the first time.

"No, you don't. I already spoke to your parents and planned the entire thing so you're coming whether you like it or not" she states.

"Fine, I guess I'll go" Jacob sighs.

"Perfect. We leave Friday right after school!" May claps.

FRIDAY MORNING - 1 Day Before

"I can't believe you planed it without me knowing" I eat a spoon full of my cereal.

"Honey, if we told you, you wouldn't have gone," Mom says, putting the lid on her to-go cup of coffee.

"And it will be good for you. You never get out of the house" Dad kisses the side of my head, "I have to go, sweetie, I'll see you on Sunday."

"If I make it till then"

"Relax, it's going to be fun!" He says and grabs his keys to leave. Just as he heads to the front door, Callum appears and shouts "Bye Dad!" as he shuts the door.

"She find out about this weekend?" Callum opens the cabinets and comes out with a box of cereal.

"You knew about it too?!" I look at him wide-eyed.

"Yeah, I came up with the idea to get you the hell out of here" He pours cereal into his bowl, and tops it off with milk.

"Watch your language," Mom says and Callum mutters a sorry.

"Unbelievable" I sigh.

"You kids better get going soon, don't want to be late. I'm heading out" Mom says and grabs her stuff to leave.

"Whos ready to have some FUN!!" May says as she meets us by the doors after school. We all head out to Adam's suburban and he starts to drive. I let Callum drive my car home since we would be carpooling to the cabin together. We met up this morning and put all our bags and food, along with other things. To be honest, I was excited about this trip, a little nervous because of how bad my dreams have gotten, but this is good. I need to get away from my home and have some high-quality fun time with my friends.
