Ezekiel POV
"Ezekiel, you have other matters to address," Frederick says from beside me.
"This is far more important," the sun has already set and I hear the faint music play from her house. I see her sitting around the table eating with her family. They are all dressed up and a tree is lit. I assume it is the holiday the humans celebrate, Christmas.
"The guards are watching over her, nothing is going to happen, trust me," he places a hand on my shoulder.
"Frederick, I was frozen for 538 years and trust was something that put me in that position."
"But you never trusted Darius, am I correct?"
"No, I did not, but I never believed he would complete such actions against me and my love."
"Ezekiel, I have been watching over her, in each of her lives, and protected her. What more will it take for you to trust me?"
He makes a good point, but I just do not want to leave her just yet. I have been watching over her for four days now and the thought of leaving her side is horrendous, "I am not ready to leave her, not yet."
"She will be fine, safe as well. The guards are surrounding the parameter," he points around and I catch sight of the dozens of vampires around.
"Fine," I huff, thinking of the unsettling feeling I will get when I step away from her.

"I am here, now what must be done, Frederick?" I close the door to his house and I freeze, sensing others in the house. Frederick has disappeared from my sight, and it's then that I hear the whispers.
"He's finally here," I hear a male voice.
"It has been far too long," I hear another voice.
I slowly walk into the kitchen, which serves little to no purpose, other than aesthetics, and I stop dead in my track.
I see a boy who looks like he could be a teenager with his brown hair and green eyes he received after his late mother. Phineas.
And a girl standing next to him, looking as young as her brother, with her curly black hair, perfectly resembling her late mothers as well, and I feel an ounce of pain at my sister's memory. Anabella.
Then I see a man, who looks older than me, despite him being born after, with his shaggy black hair and green eyes that match mine, sporting a scruffy beard. Phillip.
And a woman standing next to him, her long blond hair, and brown eyes, looking at me with curiosity. Lyla.
A girl, who looks just like a teenager with her dirty blond hair and brown eyes, resembling the others. Elena.
And her brother who is a spinning image of his father. Though his black hair is more styled and precise, looking as young as his sister. Henry.
And finally, my eyes settle on a male and female, who look the youngest of all the children in the room, one with his cropped blond hair and brown eyes and the other with black hair matching mine and light brown eyes.
"And who do we have here," I stand in front of them with a smile. I am yet to meet the new addition to the family.
"Our twins," Lyla beams.
"We had them a few decades after..." Phillip trails off and I finish for him, "our dear cousin stabbed me?"
"Yes after that," Phillps eyes drop in sadness.
"This is Alexander and Christine," Lyla says and I feel a wave of emotions swarm through me.
"After..." I trail off, not wanting to finish the sentence.
"Yes, after our parents," Phillip says.
"It's a pleasure to meet you," I hold out my hand for them to shake.
"Nice to meet you too, Uncle Lennox," Alexander perks up and smiles at me.
Phillip wraps his arms around me and pulls me into a hug, despite my dislike of them, "Good to see you again, Ezeke."
"Good to be back."
Third Person POV
This was the first time the entire family was back together, even though they were missing one person, Alice. But they all know they won't have to wait long before she remembers her past life, or so they hoped.
The days pass by and Ezekiel spent the first few with his family, catching up on all the time they missed. But soon they had to leave, not wanting to be away from their homes for too long to draw suspicion. Darius has eyes and ears everywhere and is constantly following the family. Frederick seems to be the only one to remain unwatched.
And soon Ezekiel spends his days catching up on the history he missed, reading the journals Frederick kept, along with other books.
Then he moved on to learning new technology, ones he didn't have all those years ago. He easily understood how to use a phone, drive a car, and all different devices that were recently created, with the help of his advanced intelligence and speed reading abilities.
He quickly adapted to the modern lifestyle humans live and begun to understand all the changes to the world.

Ezekiel POV
"Are you alright sir?" Frederick asks me and I glare at him, "Ezekiel, sorry it is going to be a hard habit to break."
"I am dealing."
"With what?"
I really do not want to answer his questions, but a part of me needs some reassurance, "I am a little...unsettled."
"For going to school?" He asks me shocked.
"Yes, tomorrow I will walk into a building and be surrounded by humans."
"And Alice," he adds.
"Yes her too, but I still do not know how to act around them," I admit.
"Since when are you nervous?"
"Since I am about to see my love for the first time in 538 years."
"Ezekiel, the one good part of being stuck as stone, was that it stopped your aging completely, you look as young as any other human in that building. You have complete control over your bloodlust. You will speak to Alice and reunite with her. I have complete faith in you," Frederick attempts to give me a pep talk, but it somewhat fails.
I just hope everything goes accordingly.
