I felt a sudden jolt to my slumber, with feelings coursing through my body that is not mine.

There is something wrong, I can feel it. She is not okay. There is worry consuming her and I have no idea how I can help.

And then suddenly I feel an impact of pain cover my body.

Quickly getting dressed, I exit Frederick's home and followed the invisible trail leading to Alice. But when I finally found her, I was too late.

Third Person POV

When Ezekiel reached Alice, he witnessed her car smashed into a large tree, the front of the vehicle completely recked, glass shattered. She had reared off into the forest and the only object to stop her car was that tree.

He could feel her pain, the cuts on her skin as if they were his own, the pounding pain in his head, and he could hear the subtle beat of her heart.

He rushes to her car, ripping the door of the mangled vehicle. The airbag exploded and her body is leaning forward from impact. He smells the blood from her cuts. And he can feel her pain. He breaks the seatbelt off, tearing it, and carries her body out of her car. Laying her down on the dirty ground leaves him a moment to examine her. She is covered in scrapes from shards of glass piercing her flesh.

She is in pain, she is helpless.

So he heals her the only way he knows how.

He bits a cut into his wrist, drawing blood, and feeds it to her

And from the inside out, her cuts slowly heal, his own pain easing as well as hers. He slowly caresses her forehead, removing the hair that has fallen from the hair tie it is in.

"Alice, love, please wake up," he whispers-no he begs. He knows that she is almost completely healed, but she is still asleep. Her breaths are shallow, and her expression is blank.

And he has no idea of the dream she is having.

"If father finds out, he will have my head," she says with a smile.

"We both know he will not. He loves you greatly," he responds, trying to ease her worry.

"Lennox, why did you come?"

"I needed to see you, love."

"You could have just waited until tomorrow? You had to come and drag me out of my home well into the night."

"Exactly," he smiles and places a soft kiss on her cheek, "now come along."

They walk through the streets in the night when the rest of the world seems to be sleeping.

"Where are you taking me?"

"Always with the questions, you do not have faith in me?"

"Do not put words into my mouth, it was simply a question. Where are you taking me when the moon is high in the sky?"

"Patience, my love, you will love it," he says, grabbing her hand.

They continue to walk down a dirt path and are suddenly brought to a clearing, upon a hill. From here you can see the quiet little town Alice calls home and see just how small it really is compared to the rest of the world.

"Look," he says, pulling her to the edge of the mountain.

They look up at the night sky, gazing at the stars, a scattered mess yet each one placed perfectly amongst each other. A beautiful accident or a perfect arrangement.

"You can see the whole world from here," Alice says in amazement, looking over the edge.

"It seems that way, does it not?"

"It is as if you are so little compared to the worlds entire," she says, still looking over the treetops and small cottages illuminated by the moon and the stars.

"Or it makes you think of how lucky you are to be alive in a time like this," he says, grabbing ahold of her hand.

"Lennox, do you believe in fate?"

"I am not sure, why do you ask?"

"Well, you seem to be grateful to be alive in this exact period of time."

"Of course I am, I have met you."

"True," she flashes him a smile, "but without me, there would have always been someone else. Or something else."

"I am not following, love."

"Do you ever feel you are not meant to be here? As if there is so much more to life than this moment."

"I am a little hurt you would rather be somewhere else than with me," he jokes.

" I love being with you and moments like these. But what if there is more to life-"

"Beyond this life?"

"Yes! What if there is another life waiting for me."

"Alice," she turns to him at the seriousness of his voice, "do you wish you could live forever?"

"That would be too long," she dismisses the idea.

"How about forever with me?"

"Far too long," she gives his hand a playful squeeze. "I do not want forever, but another chance would be a pleasant idea. I may have a mother, or maybe a brother too! Oh, Lennox, that would be beautiful. The thought of being apart of a perfect family. Of starting over," she looks down to the trees below the cliff, admiring the way they look so small from up above. Part of her knows, if she were to move the slightest, the chance to have another life may be all the more possible. Just one more step and she could start over.

"Alice, please wake up," Ezekiel cups her sleeping face, pleading with her.

"You would want to live again?" He asks.

He hears the faint sounds of sirens, coming to deal with the damage.

"It is not that I want it, but it is nice to dream of another life." She looks away from the edge, dismissing her thoughts.

He softly shakes her, knowing her body is now completely healed. He suddenly hears the soft ring of her phone from inside her car. Ignoring it, he gently caresses her cheek. Rubbing his thumb up and down the side of her cheek, then slowly tracing her bottom lip.

'Alice, please, my love," he begs once more.

"It is nice to dream of another life," he hears the soft mumble of her words and he remembers. He remembers just when she first spoke those words hundreds of years ago. He thinks of how beautiful she looked under the starlight. How the moon illuminated her features and how perfect she looked in that moment.

"Alice," he says again, placing a soft kiss on her forehead, "I am sorry, love."

The sound of the sirens becomes louder, they are coming closer.

"Zeke," she mumbles again, trying to nuzzle her body closer to his, even in her dazed state.

"Until next time," he whispers and pulls away from her, hating the idea of being away from her.
