"So how was everyone's weekend?" Abby suspiciously asks as we all sit down at our lunch table.

"Ugh, I was stuck cleaning with my mom. My bother and sister ditched me," Jacob huffs.

"That's more eventful than mine," Adam sighs.

"Wait, weren't you on a date?" May asks.

"Don't remind me. It was a total fail," he rolls his eyes.

"This is why we should approve of the girl before you go on the date," Abby says.

"We don't want another Rachel Palmer fiasco," I smirk remembering how much of a stalker she was.

"Why the hell do you have to remind me, Alice," Adam laughs, as Jacob says, "That girl was wack!"

"You're just lucky you didn't date her. I still get a little scared when I go out, I feel like she's gonna follow me," Adam says.

We all laugh and then May targets me, asking me what I did over the weekend. Asking me directly is the best way to get me to talk.

"Boring. I was stuck inside all weekend," Other than going to therapy, I silently add to myself.

"It's been 2 weeks, right? Did you go to therapy?" Adam asks. He's always been like this towards me, caring and considerate. He's probably the first one to know if I have another breakdown, or he knows my therapy schedule, that I go every other 2 weeks. And he always asks about how it went, each time leaving a smile on my face, for knowing someone who does care.

"I did."

"How'd that go?" He continues.

"Just like it always does" I shrug. He and I started something back in Sophomore year, but it didn't work. We went on a date or two, but it was kinda awkward, so we just decided to say, friends. But that doesn't help the feeling I get when he flashes me his perfect smile.

We hear Abby dramatically clear her throat, making us realize that she's the only one who hasn't shared their weekend events with us. Knowing exactly what she wants I ask, "How was your weekend, Abby?"

"Oh why thank you for asking. It was great. Grandma and Gramps paid a little visit and they gifted me something," She flashes us a huge smile.

"What did your spoiled only-child-ass get this time," Adam jokes.

She brushes him off and places something on the lunch table. A camera.

"You finally got a new one?" Jacob asks.

"Not just any new camera, but my dream camera, thank you very much. I've had my eyes on this bad boy for months," She smiles.

"Great, now you can film us when we eat is a clearer picture," Adam says sarcastically.

I'm sitting in the last period, trying to complete my independent assignment, when I start to feel a little dizzy. Oh no. I try to keep my mind focused on the task on hand, trying to focus my brain.

Okay, math class, follow the equation and solve it. Look at the numbers, I feel my vision break in and out. Numbers and letters, exponents.

Geez, when is the bell going to ring.

"You okay?" I feel a tap on my shoulder and I'm startled as I turn and see Adam.

"Yeah," I try to focus on his face, but the panic in my chest won't go away.

"Want me to talk you to the nurse, Al?"
