Minji's pov.
I ran. Alleyway after alleyway, the hard rain quieting the footsteps of my chasers and the lack of streetlamps in the dead of night making it all the more difficult to know my surroundings and advantages. I knew there were at least two people on my tail. Fighting them wouldn't be any issue normally, but after the day I had I was weak and tired. I seemed to be a lot those days. As the footsteps edged closer to mine, reaching hands only missing me by inches, I realized I would have to fight.
My abrupt stop caused both men to fall backwards, unprepared for my halt. Both men got up quicker than they fell, aggravated expressions painted on both their faces. They looked about two or three years older than me in the face, so about twenty four or five, but they were very well built. I was small for my age, but I was much stronger than usually first assumed. One of the men moved closer to me, and I backed away.
"Scared?" he asked, smirking at me. I stared at him for a moment longer before he lunged at me, but in the time he spent stalling I noticed that his right shoulder dropped, so I was ready for the punch. I dodged it easily and stuck my foot between both of his. He went to punch again, not noticing my foot and taking a step forward, tripping over my foot and falling face - first on the ground.
"Scared?" I said, mocking him. He turned to me with an even more aggravated look on his face, and I knew I pushed his buttons. However, before I got a chance to scope out the whereabouts of the other man I felt a strong hand around my neck, pulling me into a headlock. I squirmed for a moment before kicking my heel backwards into his crotch. He released his grip, hissing, and I shoved my elbow into his nose which popped, and bright droplets of blood dripped down from it. I backed up, making sure both men were in my vision. I reached for my switchblade in my back pocket. I knew I wasn't supposed to venture out without one of the bodyguards, especially at night, but it was tiring being babied around all the time. I knew father would be angry if he found out I had been away without his permission, but he'd get over it. I pulled out the blade but I must've lingered too long, because a flying kick shoved me backwards and the blade flew into the air, landing at the other side of the alley, its silver glow shining in the moonlight.
The first guy came at me again, pulling out a blade of his own. He pinned me down onto the floor, sitting on my stomach, holding me down with his legs and placing the blade to my throat. The cold knife made me flinch slightly and I tried to move my head as far as possible from the sharp edge. With his empty hand he grabbed my hair tightly, making it near impossible to move from him. He smirked. I didn't want to give up that easily, but I was exhausted. He knew that he had won.
"Move the knife, Boss won't be happy if you hurt her," the other man said, holding his nose, which was definitely broken. The man on top of me pressed the blade a little harder into my neck, causing a small diagonal cut to form before putting the knife back into his belt. The sharp pain in the side of my neck caused me to snarl.
"You don't know who you're messing with," I growled at him, before he placed some cloth over my mouth. I felt myself drift out of consciousness. I tried to struggle from his grasp, but it was no use.
"Oh sweetheart, you have no idea".

I woke up in a sleek black Rolls Royce. The car wasn't moving, and was parked in front of a reformed old fashioned mansion. I noticed my tied hands. My mouth was free of any restraints but I knew screaming would be no good. These grounds looked bigger than ours, and we had hectares upon hectares of land. I was forced out of the car by the same man who had drugged me, and I made sure to spit at him before getting out of the vehicle. I struggled, but the ropes around my wrist were too tight to slip from my hands. I tried to kick the man, but he kept his guard this time. We entered the mansion and he brought me to a dining hall. I was tied to a chair at a long, sleek brown dining table. I knew I should be resisting - if training taught me anything, it was how to act in a situation like this - but the drugs were still wearing off and I felt light-headed.
