Minji's pov.

Yoongi didn't have a response.

I kind of wasn't expecting him to.

"I have to go. Stuff to do, places to be, the usual," I said, breaking the silence. He looked at me and nodded, and I thanked him before walking down to the practice room. Twenty odd heads turned around to face me as I walked in. Jimin, Taehyung and Hoseok were by the weapons cabinets in front of all the soldiers, like teachers of a class. They were. They also turned to face me as I came in. I looked around at the soldiers. I assumed that this particular group was only one of many. I studied each of their faces. They all looked stern and intimidating. Good. That would be useful.

"Minji, come," Hoseok prompted, and I hesitantly made my way over to where the three men were standing. Taehyung cleared his throat before speaking. "This is Minji, as you know. She'll be training you, just as we will." I turned to Taehyung with furrowed brows, but he continued to face forward. There was an outbreak of whispers throughout the hall. "But she's a Seok," one of the soldiers protested. "How do we know she won't sabotage us? Teach us wrong?" Jimin scoffed at the question. "She's teaching you how to fight, not math. And besides, we aren't going anywhere. We're still in charge, you all remember that. But the four of us have been ordered by Boss to train you to be your best. If you want to disagree, you can bring your concerns to Boss, but I'd warn you; he isn't in a peppy mood today. So leave if you want, but if I'm being completely honest, that'd be a death wish. Any objections?"

The room was silent.

"Perfect. Then we'll start."

As the weapon press was opened and people went to grab whatever weapon they trained best with, I moved over to Tae. "I didn't agree to this? I said I'd train with you - training you is different." "Minji, calm down. Stop acting like you haven't done this before. Maybe not here, but what's the difference other than the sides? You're preparing soldiers for a war. You forget your ranking, and I understand why, but for now you have to remember. I understand being ruled by a few soldiers, a hacker and a medic isn't exactly what you're used to, but after all, you are a Consigliere. You know what to do. You're above us. So act like it, just for now. We still need training too, if you'd be willing. If I'm being completely honest with you, I'm scared. I'm terrified. But I need to be strong, and you have to too. You can do this. You have to, anyway. It's Boss' orders."

I laughed quietly at him. "Your speech was going so well until the last few sentences. But I appreciate it, Taehyung. And I'm sure you're amazing in action already. If you're scared, imagine what I'm feeling. Coming here, seeing what you have, what you're capable of... it's horrifying. But I get it. I get you. I have to stay strong too. For my people. And you are exactly the same, but with yours." He smiled at me a little before realizing people were looking. His facial expression changed back to that emotionless, fearful gaze he had given me the first time I had ever seen him, but he winked at me quickly to show that it was just a face. I had to suppress my smile.

"So what the hell am I supposed to do when I'm not even allowed within a 10 foot distance of a steak knife?" I asked to Jimin as he examined a Colt 1911. He chuckled slightly as he handed me the pistol. I carefully took it from his extended hand. It felt weird to have a weapon back in my grasp. It had been so long since I could freely hold one. "Do you trust me?" I asked him. He smiled. "You haven't shot me yet, baby," He replied. I cringed at the nickname. "I will if you call me that again." He took a shotgun and motioned for me to follow him. I held the gun as if it was gold. I didn't know what to do, how to react. Obviously I wasn't ever going to get away, especially not in that situation. Maybe that's why I was able to be 'trusted'. I was in the mix of many men who would shoot me dead in an instant if I would've tried anything. But I didn't want to, anyway. My gut was telling me to at least attempt, but I couldn't.
