Jungkook's pov.

"Oh, so they are awake, huh?" Taehyun smiled devilishly. I stared at him as he made his way over to me. "Enjoy your snooze, Jeon?" He teased, and I pursed my lips in agitation. He smiled again at my obvious discomfort. I pulled my gaze away from him momentarily to inspect Jae-Hwa. He was a very large, scary looking, well built man, his biceps almost threatening to emerge from the white shirt he was wearing. He had his arms crossed over his chest, and his sleeves were rolled up to his elbows, the veins on his skin bulging prominently. His hair was slightly greying, and the stress lines on his forehead were very evident - even with an unreadable expression on his face.

"Taehyun, go tell Boss we have a conscious one," Jae-Hwa stated bluntly, and Taehyun nodded, not taking his eyes off me while leaving the room. As the door was shut behind the boy, Jae-Hwa walked towards me, his loud footsteps making my heartrate increase with each one. He was standing right before me in seconds, examining my face for signs of fear. "Jeon Jungkook. Hacker and computer genius, or so I'm told. Twenty three years old, am I right in saying this?"

I just stared at the man, clenching my jaw, staying silent. He huffed. "You know, it's rude to ignore somebody when they're talking to you," He spat. In one quick unexpected motion, he brought his palm directly to my cheek with great force. I winced in pain as I felt the area he hit redden. "So, let's try this again. Jeon Jungkook, twenty three years old, yes or no?"

I gulped, reluctantly nodding my head. He smiled. "That's better."

He reached into his pocket and withdrew a switchblade. He flipped it open, revealing it to be a stiletto knife, the sharp point taunting me. He raised it to my face, dragging the flat part of the knife slowly along the already reddened skin of my cheek. The cold metal caused me to flinch. My head began to pound heavily again, my vision becoming slightly distorted. "Now, since you were the first to awaken, we should have a little chat, just the two of us. I imagine you know some information that the Choi's couldn't tell or explain to us, so, if you'd like to share th-"

"I'm not telling you anything," I spat. It was the first time I'd properly spoken since I'd woken up. My voice was slightly hoarse and my throat was dry, but the statement came out much clearer than expected. He raised his eyebrows, but the hint of a vicious smile still lingered on his lips. He placed the sharp tip of the knife at my lips, piercing the soft skin with just a touch.

"That's fine. Do as you please. But this knife works wonders, I'm telling you. I'll start at your face, cutting up that pretty visage of yours. I suppose I'll work my way down then. I might even take off those dear fingers you rely on to do your computer work. I'll cut you up real bad, Jeon. But I'll save the best for last. That throat of yours can be slit with a quick motion, no more. It won't affect me. But if you want to save yourself a gory fate - for now, at least - I would recommend doing what I say," Jae-Hwa stated. I growled at him lowly, blood boiling, and my heartrate increasing, if that was even possible. "Do it, pussy," I tormented, careful not to deepen the cut on my lips with the blade that was still held up to them. He smiled widely now, as I had given him an invitation to do as he pleased. He dragged the knife across my cheek - sharp side down this time - and I clenched my teeth. As I felt the blood begin to drip slowly down my cheek, I tried to take my mind off the stinging sensation that was building up on the left side of my face.

Minji's pov.

I knew there was no way I was going to be able to sleep that night, so after the soldiers were dismissed I also left the hall, making my way to the weaponry in the training room and gathering anything I felt like I needed before going outside to the gardens, heading towards the shooting range. It was pitch black by then, but the large outdoor lights had been turned on for group training, meaning that most the targets could be seen. The sniper rifle I had picked was a large, heavy one, but as I aimed for the furthest target I could see and pulled the trigger, I still hit the target in one. I aimed and fired again, and again, at different targets each time, hitting each one. I couldn't stop once I started. I was so angry and confused, and shooting inanimate things released some of the anger from my system. I was aware that I was being stared at, but I didn't care at that moment in time. I just kept aiming and shooting, aiming and shooting, aiming and shooting, aiming and shoot-

Jimin was the one to take the gun off me this time, grabbing it from behind me before turning me around to face him. I shook my head at nothing, in denial about everything. I hadn't noticed how quiet the place had gotten until I looked away from Jimin and around at the many soldiers who had gathered outside in the dark to train for the upcoming battle. I noticed Taehyung and Namjoon standing at the door, their eyes on me too. Namjoon looked sympathetic, but it was ultimately his fault that I was in this position in the first place. I didn't want his sympathy. In fact, it was Tae's stern look that snapped me out of whatever daze I had been in. He was staring at me with a clenched jaw, and his eyes told me, 'pull yourself together'. I turned back to Jimin. "Fight me," I stated. He raised his eyebrows, amused. "I'm not kidding. Like the first day I came here."

Jimin handed the gun he was holding to the nearest soldier as he nodded. "Okay, Minji. To the death, yeah?" He joked, brandishing his tiny fists. I chuckled slightly at his action. "Yeah, yeah. To the death."

I wasn't sure why the audience hadn't gone back to their work and stayed focused on watching Jimin and I duel, but I didn't necessarily care. It was their battle, not mine.

But you're fighting on their side, right? So you have to care.

I sighed at the sky as I prepared myself for the fight, trying to push annoying thoughts away. Jimin and I bowed at each other before we began. As moments progressed, Jimin was in a better position than I was in terms of the fight. I threw a kick towards him, but he caught my foot, just as he had the first time. He smirked at me as he looked in my eyes. "I guess you don't learn, do you?" He laughed, but I managed to do what I did the time previous, too, kicking the behind of his knee, causing us both to fall down. I straddled him before he got up, pinning his arms as I smiled down at him. I had won. "I guess you don't learn, do you?" I repeated, and he rolled his eyes. I got off him, walking away after bowing to him, signifying the conclusion of the duel. As I was reaching for my water bottle, I felt a strong arm wrapping around my torso, grabbing my right shoulder. The other hand clutching a sharp steel knife, which was being held to my neck. I automatically tilted my head away from the blade, beginning to freak out.

"To the death, Minji, to the death."
