Minji's pov.

I was surprised when I woke up without a headache. I hadn't ever drank as much as I did the day previous, so I was expecting far worse than a groggy feeling, but that was all I got. I yawned as I looked up at the ceiling. I hadn't even remembered getting into bed. In fact, I couldn't remember much of the day before that. I stared into space for a moment, finally noticing something.

The ceiling of my room isn't black...?

I heard a sigh from beside me and I almost jumped out of my skin. I turned around, now facing the still sleeping Yoongi beside me. His arm was loosely draped off the side of the bed, and he was clearly out for the count. My eyes widened as I got out of the bed as quickly as possible, making sure all my clothes still adorned my body. I sighed in relief as I looked down and saw my garments were still present. I quietly left the room, not wanting to disturb him, wondering how I had gotten there in the first place. I walked into the dining hall to see the other six of the boys sat at the table. They all turned to me as I entered. I smiled tiredly at the boys before sitting down at the table. I pulled my chair in, wondering why the room went so silent when I entered. That's when I noticed Namjoon looking at me. Suddenly, memories of the day previous came flooding back. Neither of us said a word, and just stared at each other for a while. I finally pulled my eyes away from him, knowing that any words shared would probably end in an arguement.

Slowly, small talk began again. I began eating as soon as my food was served. I was famished. Hoseok laughed as he noticed my reaction. "You look starving. From last night, I suppose."

"What did you say?" I coughed, choking on a mouthful of pancake.

"Last night? I was trying to do my work and you two were so fucking loud," He continued, laughing.

I was now choking on the water I had used to stop me from choking on the food.

"What?" I repeated, and Jin rolled his eyes.

"I mean, you and Yoongi did seem to be enjoying yourselves, so-"

"What are you talking about?"

"Your drinking session," Hoseok said with furrowed eyebrows. "You do remember drinking the drink that got you acting like this, right?"

I let out a sigh of relief.

"Yeah, yeah of course," I replied, and I went back to eating my food. Jimin was laughing, and I looked up at him. He leaned a little closer in my direction, whispering to me. "Why, what were you thinking, Seok?" He asked, and I shook my head, smiling back at him. "Shut up, Jimin."

After breakfast, I was prompted to go out and train with the three boys again. Whilst making my way upstairs to change, I heard the voice of the very man who I wanted to have nothing to do with.

"Minji, don't say anything. I'm sorry. I'll stay away from you until I learn not to let my bad traits get the better of me. Work hard. I'll be watching from afar, but for now, I won't bother you anymore. Not until I have to."

When I turned around he was already gone. I walked up the stairs, going over his apology in my head. 'For now, I won't bother you anymore.' Did I want him to leave me alone? Of course I did. But that didn't stop the burning feeling in my stomach as I pushed the door of my bedroom open.

The next few days were spent training and the sorts. I had been working out as much as I could, going down to the training room with Hoseok, Jimin and Taehyung whenever we had the time to. I'd talked to Yoongi since the whole drinking event, and he explained that we were watching a film in his room when we fell asleep. I had no reason not to believe him, so I guess that was that cleared up.
I had seen less and less of Namjoon. He hadn't been eating at every meal - he didn't even show up most of the time. Some days it was quite evident that he hadn't even attempted to appear put together, leaving his hair a messy tangle and not bothering to tuck his shirt in or do his tie properly. Jin was the opposite, staying his same old picture-perfect self, and yet I had also rarely seen him. He stayed by Namjoon's side mostly, and that was quite fine with me. Yoongi tended to be here and there, mostly staying with Namjoon, but even training with us sometimes. The one person I could not give a summary on was Jungkook, who seemed to stay cooped up in his office twenty four hours a day. I passed his work space quite often, seeing him sitting in the same chair, staring at the same screen every single time. He stayed to himself far more than I would've liked, but I couldn't really have a say in the matter, so I just let it slide. It wasn't unusual for him, and if the others weren't worried, then I didn't see why I should be. Jungkook's health should've been the least of my concern... so why was I so invested?

It was a Thursday evening and Taehyung and I were left alone as Hoseok was doing a final check up on Jimin's shoulder. Jin and Jungkook were on an espionage for Namjoon. I didn't question what it was about. I was sure I would find out somehow when they got back anyway. I was sitting on the grass a little bit away from the shooting range, watching Taehyung shoot at targets. It was quite dark, so the close range targets were what he was aiming for, the lights dotted around the range helping him see. He hit another target and I clapped for him. "You know, you don't have to clap every time," He said, cocking the shotgun and aiming it. He shot, hitting the target yet again. "Your hands might get a little tired."

I chuckled at the man, who didn't even break a smile, but I could tell he was flattered. "Okay narcissist, okay," I joked, and the corner of his lips tilted upwards. "Nothing wrong with a little confidence," He stated, walking over to me with the gun over his shoulder. He was just about to sit down when we heard a loud yell from the driveway. We both looked up to see the gate guard running down the black pavement, brandishing some sort of letter in his hand. Taehyung and I hurried inside, wondering what the commotion was about.

We rushed into the hallway, where the four other boys were already standing. "What's going on?" I heard Namjoon ask as Taehyung and I joined the circle that had formed. I noticed the guard looked distressed, and without saying a word, he handed the letter to Namjoon. He opened it with furrowed eyebrows, his confusion quickly becoming a mixture of worry and anger.

"It's from Jae-Hwa," Namjoon stated.

"The Seoks have Jin and Jungkook."
