I walked through the big X Factor doors with a coffee in my hand. I waved to the crew and started down the main hallway.

It was quiet in the mornings.

The girls were all at home sleeping but I decided to go in and read over our performance list. I wanted to make sure everyone had enough time to change.

"Good morning Maddie," Carol, the sound tech, said.

"Morning Carol," I smiled, offering her a tiny wave.

I thanked her mentally for not commenting on my horrible messy bun and lazy person clothing choices.

"Is someone in here?" I asked security outside of the main arena.

"The boys are having a sound check for their performance tonight," He said.

"Can I go in?" I asked, taking a sip of my drink.

"Sure," He smiled, opening the door for me.

"Thanks," I said, taking the steps down.

I watched the boys run around the stage and listened to their voices carrying over the speakers.

I had never heard them live before- they're pretty good.

I tried to be as quiet as possible and took a seat in the middle of the theater.

Luke danced around with his guitar and sang into the mic loudly.

I held up my phone and filmed them sneakily, posting the video to Twitter.

@maddiecollings: I see you. @Luke5Sos

The song ended and I took that as my chance to applaud.

"What the hell?" Luke said, looking out at me.

"Nicely done boys," I yelled, stepping down the aisles.

"Oh hey Mads," Michael smiled, pulling his guitar off of his neck.

"Hello," I beamed, stepping onto the stage.

"You crashing my rehearsal Collings?" Luke smirked.

"Maybe," I shrugged.

"Did you like it?" Calum piped up.

"Yeah it was really good," I smiled, taking a sip. "I think the crowd's gonna love it."

"Who was your favourite?" Calum asked, sending me a wicked grin.

"You," I mouthed, making a heart in the air.

He laughed and took a drink from his water.

"Nice outfit," Luke smirked, looking me up and down.

"We match," I scoffed.

We were both rocking the black jeans and a band tee.

"What are you doing here anyway?" He asked, sitting down. I moved to sit beside him and stretched my feet out in front of me.

"I just wanted to check up on a few things," I whispered, looking up to the hand messing with my bun.

Ashton giggled and pulled on it like a little kid.

"Hi," I said.

"Hi," He laughed.
