-Shay's Pov-

"Okay little miss cheater pants, lets get you hooked up to this machine once again." I giggled as nurse Nikki hooked me up to the machine next to the bed. She then walked over and passed the curtain and disappeared not even one minute later my throat started to burn and my mouth watered. Nurse Nikki returned as a smile spread on her face.

"Oh good your thirsty just look at those eyes so dark," What she held in her hand was a bag of and in the bag was dark blood, darker than then the last time and this time it wasn't deer blood. It was mountain lion blood. My favourite kind of blood. I licked my lips and she handed me the bag which I quickly tore open and drank the warm blood as it flowed down my throat. It tasted so much better then the deer so I decided to drink the entire bag and the machine beeped and hummed while nurse Nikki watched and wrote on her little pad of paper and pressed a few buttons. Shortly after that she unhooked me and looked over at me.

"So Nikki what's the news am I going to make it?" I asked playfully as she handed me my clothes. "Yes Shay I think you will be just fine!" We quickly did the other tests and again I passed with flying colours. I was so happy I couldn't contain my smile. "Okay Miss Shaylyn your free to go, I will see you in a couple weeks along with your mother. Will you let her know to join us next time I have some things to discuss with her as well." I nodded my head. "Yes nurse Nikki I'll let my mother know that you want to see her on our next visit. Nikki nodded and I ran off to class joining Ray and Denice and of course as soon as I got to Ms.Alexander's room I noticed Denice and Ray sitting together so I shrugged my shoulders and went and sat in the only other empty seat next to Reid who was too quick to greet me. "Hi Shaylyn, how you doing?" I smiled at Reid and replied softly carefully not to interrupt the teacher. "I'm doing just fine. How are you?" Reid leaned towards me and whispered softly enough for me to clearly hear him. "I am good I was wondering if you could help me with something after we are done school for the day?" I nodded my head and then turned and started to do my work I could feel eyes burning into my head so I looked up and almost died because of the look Denice was giving me I moved my head as if I was pointing at Ray and her making her face softened. Denice gave me a shoulder shrug before we both went back to our assignment. Once class was finished Ms.Alexander excused us announcing that the year three's will be going to Withering Brook for a visit this evening. Denice came over to me and pulled me out of the class while Ray following behind us. "Ow! Denice what do you want?" I giggled and she stopped and let go of my arm.

"I wanna go look at the book store and see what new books they have there and I also wanna buy something for Carter as a gift for our anniversary coming up!" We of coarse agreed and we ran back to our dorm to change out of our uniforms and into jeans and nicer shirts before grabbing our money and phones. "Come on Denice you don't need that much makeup. We're only going to a bookstore," I laughed as I called out my twin to hurry up. Ray giggling as she joined me by the door. "Yeah Denice, let's go we are going to miss the bus." Denice sighed and then laughed replying about dressing good to make a good impression and that it's nice to dress up once in a while. She winked at me and I nudged her playfully then we all headed out to the bus and found seats. There was about 10 other kids who got on before the bus leaving Dusk Manor behind us as we heading to Withering Brook. It was a longer bus ride but as soon we could see the town ahead we were all set free and told to meet at the bus in 2 hours before heading back. We all set off while Denice dragged me and Ray to the book store to look for good books to read it was a nice little book store down some side street we walked in and the bell above the door rang as we made our way down the aisles looking at the books I was asking Denice if she had read them and of course she read most of the books we picked out. "Hey Denice what about this book um evermore it's called?" Denice shouted back from the next row of books. "I have read the series already, thanks though," Ray laughed from the other side. We looked and looked and Denice finally came upon a series she has not read making me sigh in relief. "I found one!" My sister shouted from the end of an aisle of books. "One what exactly?" Ray asked.

"A book I haven't read duh!" Denice replied walking back towards us. The book was called wolf chronicles or something. She bought the book and we walked out of the store and started to window shop Denice asking us to help her find something for Carter. We looked at hats, watches, necklaces, and then Denice was looking at a leather bracelet with a little wooden wolf and one with a crystal shaped like a vampire fang. I was looking in the next store window some sporting store. Describing to Denice what I was seeing. "I see lots of sports jerseys and hats and hoodies too, little sports memorabilia as well." Denice kinda wrinkled her nose while I explained but of coarse she wanted something special for the guy. I was about to reply when I got a whiff of a familiar smell. It was a floral perfume mixed with minty toothpaste I knew this smell I knew this perfume and only one of my friends ever wore it but it had been months since I last smelled it. I looked down the street I couldn't see anyone I recognized but I knew that smell and it was none other then Kayleigh. I turned and ran down the street and through the ally leaving the girls behind and stopped and focused on who the smell again and it still reminded me of Kayleigh. I pictured her face and her smile, her laughter and let my gift take over running down the streets following it suddenly I caught a glimpse of shoulder length jet black hair making me call her out.

"Kayleigh!" Her head turned slightly and then suddenly I lost sight of Kayleigh's jet black hair but I could still smell her scent. I followed it down a street and then I spotted her moving towards a back ally I ran towards her but suddenly I lost it and I couldn't pick up the scent and she was nowhere in sight. I stood there and scratched my chin it had to have been her. It could not have been anyone else but why did she leave if she didn't want anything to do with us, so why come back? I shook my head and then picked up on Denice's scent, I ran through town until I reached her. Denice had her bags and Ray was no where to be seen I looked at my twin Denice who looked at me.

"Where did you go?" I stepped closer and I whispered, so only me and her could know. "I think I saw Kayleigh but when I got close, her scent and everything just disappeared. I don't know maybe I was just seeing things."
