-Shay's Pov-

I was filled with hurt and sadness. Even some anger for my twin. I tried to mask it as I got to the door it opened up and Ray gave me a look with her eyebrows which by the way were furrowed. "I hope Carter rots in hell Shay. You should stay with her she shouldn't be alone right now." I nodded and gave Ray a small smile and walked into the dorm. "I will tell the boys nothing about what happened just say that we are busy and will see them tomorrow promise me Lorraine?" I reply looking back at her as she stood by the door. "I promise Shaylyn." Ray said teasingly saying my full name because I used hers. I ended up leaving the dorm instead to go see my sister so I used my vampire speed and walked into the great hall.

"Shay go back to the dance I don't want to talk," Denice says softly. I knew my sister, I knew what she needed so I just smiled as I walked over to her. "Oh I know and we don't have to talk but I do need you to follow me." I reached towards her extending my hand to her as she took it and I smiled helping her stand from the seat. Before she spoke I cut her off with a big hug while her body slumped into mine and I could feel my shoulder getting wet as some tears slid out of her eyes. We were surrounded by people so I decided to take her away from the scene and towards the helicopter pad. "Shay what are you doing?" She questions. I know she was wondering what I was trying to do and at the same time I hope my little plan works out so I told her to stay put and not go anywhere when I quickly used my vampire speed and ran into the Manor and up the stairs to our mothers room. "Hello Shay what brings you up here darling?" I smiled and went to hug my mom and told her what I got planned. "Well mom, Denice is homesick and well having some boy trouble as well so I really need you to agree with me on something,"

A few minutes later I was headed out of my mothers room and walked down the hall and down a small flight of stairs before spotting a young man. "Hello Miss Hastings, I am at your service for the next few days follow me." The guy was named Wesley. He was the pilot for the helicopter that mother owed and he was going to be flying us back home for a short visit. We walked out and Denice was standing by the helicopter where I last seen her when she looked over at me and raised her eyebrows.

"Shay what's going on?" I smiled at her putting my arm around her shoulders and said, "Well Denice were going home to see dad." Her face broke into a big smile and she looked at me like she couldn't believe it. I told her we were and that it's the honest truth and we both couldn't wait to see our dad. Wesley opened the door of the helicopter as we got in and buckled ourselves up while I explained to Denice about the plan. "Yeah mom is letting us go only until Monday. We have to be back here Monday at lunch because she doesn't want us missing so much class time." As soon as we had the harnesses on Wesley told us to put the headsets on as double checked us and then climbed in the front seat and got himself situated and then off we went while we watched Dusk Manor disappear behind us.

Hours later we were just walking into our house with dad between us while he quickly kissed me and Denice's head telling us how much he missed us and that he was happy to have us home for a few days. "Now I was a bit surprised when mom called but none the less, I am happy to spend time with my girls whenever I have the chance," he explains. Denice cut him off jumping into his arms telling him how much she missed him, it felt like she didn't want to let go. This is what she needed. I let them have they're moment while I waited for my turn for a hug which I got. I pulled away and told dad I'll be right back so I can take my things upstairs when Denice followed behind me. "Hey Shay?" She called out in a questioning way as we reached the top of the stairs. "Thank you, this was just what I needed." I smiled and nodded, telling her I'd do anything for her. Because I would do it again. We went our separate ways, I quickly changed out of my Sandra Dee outfit into a pair of black basketball shorts and a grey tee and quickly brushed my hair out and pulled it up into a braid. Then I walked over through the bathroom into Denice's room too see her pulling on her tank I chuckled at how we matched in our shorts and tanks causing Denice to turn around. "Shay I know we are twins but we don't need to match. We're not kids anymore." She smiled and then I plopped down on her bed.

"Well what should we do now?" She asked. I pursued my lips and then motioned for Denice to follow me since I got an idea right away. I called out our dad from the top of the stairs as he walked to the bottom of the staircase and asked him to join us for a movie night. He suggested he'd make the snacks while me and Denice fixed the living room and grab movies which we did while he made food. "And please not the movie the notebook either I do not need to cry tonight," dad shouts from the kitchen. Me and Denice laughed and agreed as we laid out blankets and pillows on the sofas and got a fire going in the fire place. Denice walked over to the movie cabinet pressing her hand on the glass door to make it pop open and began reading the movie titles out. "Jaws, jaws 2, jaws 3, what about bridesmaids? Oh pitch perfect let's watch this?" She pulled the movie out of the shelf and walked back towards me which I agreed to watch and since dad is letting us pick the movie he'll have to suffer and watch it with us. "Sure that sounds good pop it in." I replied. Denice nodded and turned around opening the DVD player and put it in and suddenly the house smelled of popcorn and sweets and dad came in and placed a bowl of peach rings, sour keys and gummy worms on the table before heading back in the kitchen. Denice popped a peach ring into her mouth and then turned to me I knew right away what she wanted and nodded my head. "Be right back don't start with out me sis," I headed out of the house and closed my eyes and focused as best as I could tracking down a bear not far from our house and while I sliced it filling up a large blood bag to store at the house it was getting full so I disposed the body and I ran full speed back to the house filling up two water bottles for me and dee with the blood and storing the rest in the back of the fridge. I walked into the living room and dees eyes locked with mine immediately dark veins around her eyes getting darker her fangs popping out I did vamp speed and handed her a water bottle that she immediately started to drink and then I hissed at her. "Slow down."

She slowed down instantly and then stopped looking at me before dad seen. Of coarse dad knows and accepts what we are but me and Denice find it weird to be drinking this sort of stuff around him even though he says it doesn't bother him but we do it out of respect. I smiled and curled up on the couch next to dee I wanted to keep an eye on her so I pulled my blanket up and grabbed a small bowl of popcorn and some gummy worms and the movie started one of our favourites so we munched out on snacks while dee and I sipping from our cups and dad happily watching the movie every so often turning away to glance over at us and shoot us a smile. The next day Denice and our dad went to some car show in the next town over and I stayed home. I know my twin wanted some alone time with our dad so I had a relaxing afternoon reading and cleaning and was even nice enough to have supper ready for when they returned.

"Come on Sis, Wesley is here we need to get going or mom is going to murder us both," I shouted to my twin who was hugging our father goodbye. "I am coming hold on just saying goodbye to our dad." We turned and headed down the path to the helicopter after waving our dad off and as we got to the helicopter pad we stopped in our tracks when we spotted the person who was going to be flying us back.

"Mom!" Denice smiled and our mother hopped down from the helicopter. "Hello my girls I thought I would let Wesley have a break and I came to pick you up plus I wanted to see my husband quickly so you girls get loaded up and buckled in and I shall be right back," So we did as we were told, we loaded our bags in behind the seats and then got in and buckled up the 5 point harness just as mother returned and before we knew it we were flying over the most beautiful views suddenly everything became familiar and we were back at Dusk Manor once again.
