-Shay's Pov-

"Well Tobi that's the end, you know this is my favourite book?" I turned to face him as we were currently cuddling in our favourite place which was our library. I shifted on his lap to get comfortable and then I smiled up at him and placed a kiss on his chin. He chuckled and kissed the top of my head in response. "I know Shay, we read this book twice since we've been dating and we will probably read it a million more times," I blushed and turned getting up off his lap to put the book back in its spot before I could take a step he quickly grabbed my waist turning me to face him. "I don't mind reading the same story over and over as long as your the one reading it," he whispers. Tobi kissed me while his hands were cupping my small face, so I deepened the kiss moving my left hand and reaching up to find the hair on the nape of his neck. I ended up cutting the moment short remembering the bus we have to go take and mentioned it loudly to Tobias. "Bus what bus?" He questions. "The bus that's taking us to Withering Brook to look for Halloween costumes."

We walked hand in hand out of our secret library and across the school grounds to the front where the bus was and everyone was already getting on. I spotted Ray, Jake, Denice and Reid then just as i looked at Reid he smirked and suddenly I wasn't at school anymore but on a beach with the cool ocean breeze blowing through my hair as waves crashed along the shoreline. Dammit he was using his gift on me. I couldn't help but smile cause it was so beautiful that the scene around me was break taking. I then closed my eyes and tried to focus on Tobias, Denice, Reid, Ray and even Jake but I couldn't I just couldn't get anyone's scent or hear a thing. "Dammit denice come on," I said as I knew my twin was using her shield to protect not only her but everyone else's that was in or around the bus. Then I heard it. I heard her giggle and focused on that and heard it more loudly and started to walk while my arms swing around so I wouldn't walk into anything. "Denice this isn't funny I am going to kill your ass when I find you," I say trying to sound mad knowing full on that I am pretty cute and hilarious when I try be mad but it worked and I caught on to more giggles and walked forward quickly jumping forward and knocking into Reid who fell over breaking his concentration. I was back at Dusk laying on the ground beside Reid who was laughing and Denice came over and helped me up. "You guys are just mean," I playfully hit her arm while I laughed. She put her arm around my shoulder as we all got on the bus, me and Denice decided to sit together to discuss details about the party and stuff before we knew it we had arrived at Withering Brook.

"Oh look it's all decorated for Halloween!" Ray said in excitement as we walked off the bus. The teacher reminding us we have one hour when we all went off our separate ways. Reid and Denice went walking down the Main Street, Ray and Jake behind them and me and Tobi headed down a side street when I froze as a I got a wiff of a certain person who I haven't seen since last year. He was near but still far away enough that I couldn't see him when Tobias stopped and looked at me. I shook my head and whispered, "I think I can sense Carter near by I can't see him or where he is but I can smell his scent," I describe looking around the street were we we're standing. Tobi looked at me and said, "you need to tell Denice," and I shook my head. "No, we can't tell her she would get stressed out and won't enjoy the party I will tell her after the dance." Tobi agreed and we continued walking till we saw a small shop that had a cute little sign that was just put up it that read;

"Costume barn,"

We walked in and searched for our perfect costumes we saw many cartoon characters and super hero's and food costumes then the regular animals and fairytale creatures along with prince and princess costumes. "Tobi lets go to a different shop I don't see what I am looking for here," Tobi nodded in agreement and took my hand as we walked out of the costume barn and down the street until we spotted a little thrift store which I dragged him into and started looking for particular outfits once I found all my stuff and his stuff too we payed and left heading to the bus when I caught another wiff of Carter's unique scent. "Tobi," I nudged him and whispered I smell it again and say that he is near us when he gave me a squeeze. "He probably just wants to talk with Denice it will be okay!" He responded. We got on the bus to return home everyone was chatting about the dance and there costumes so far we were all successful at finding costumes, face paint, and accessories for our costumes before we know it we were back at the manor on the bus ready to go for the party.

It was Friday afternoon and the teachers let us out of class early to get ready and decorate the great hall it took forever blowing balloons putting up orange and black table clothes putting fake spider webs and spiders all over the walls and chairs setting up the dance floor and a witch who looked like she crashed into the main door on her broom it looked cute. We even set up a good table with jack o lanterns at each end and did centre pieces with candles and spiders it was very Halloweeny in the great hall. We got it done leaving us 1 hour to get dressed up and meet back when we all went our own ways and Denice heading off with Reid to our dorm. Ray and Jake heading off to his dorm and me and Tobi to the secret library. I walked in and to the back part of the library and got dressed in our matching costumes while Tobi dressed up as Danny zuko and me as Sandy Dee from grease the movie. I wore leather pants and a black crop shirt with a leather jacket and a blonde wig and red lips while Tobi dressed up in black jeans and a black shirt tucked in with a leather bomber jacket and then he slicked back his hair with hair gel and when he was done getting ready I was just finishing up with my wig when I turned and faced him. "Sandy?" He smirks. "Tell me about it stud!" I replied making us both laugh and headed out to the great hall. It was amazing to see everyone dressed in many different costumes when I spotted Ray and Jake who were dressed as cat women and super man and Ray walked towards me and giggled before gasping.

"Sandy?" She says in excitement. I smiled and winked saying as sexy as I could. "Tell me about it stud!" Before kicking my leg towards her. We both laughed when she hugged me. "This is an awesome costume, do you see Denice and Reid yet?" I shook my head. "No net yet but let's go check by the drink table," We walked towards the table to find Ray and Jake chatting away and when I was just about to grab a cup of the punch that's when it hit me instantly. I saw Carter. I watch him move so fast he was getting closer as he locked in on my sister who was dancing with Reid. I walked towards her as well but Carter was too fast and just as I was getting closer to them it was already too late.
