I crossed my arms, looking at the front gate as I waited for Bellamy to return. He and a few others went out hunting and they haven't come back; the radio is silent as well, and with everything that's going on and Ice Nation being as ruthless as they are, it has me worried every time Bellamy leaves camp.

The sound of hooting and applause filled my ears. I furrowed my eyebrows and turned to see a crowd of people at the edge of camp, looking down the hill. I made my way over to them, smiling at the sight before me. At the bottom of the hill in the pond was Jaha, sitting on a raft in the middle f the pond.

"Keeping yourself busy, Mr. Jordan," Jaha said.

I looked at Jasper, who had a smile on his face. "Oh, I'm living it up, every last day."

I turned my head to the left when I saw Clarke stand beside me. I looked back at Jaha as he spoke again. "Do I want to know how you managed to do this without waking me up?"

Jasper shook his head. "Oh, probably not, but the effects are harmless, I promise... Kind of."

"Alright, we've had our fun," Clarke said before turning around. "Let's get back to work."

The wind blew my hair in my face so I pushed it away as I turned and followed Clarke. She stopped a few yards away from the front gate.

"What's with the 'we're all gonna die' face?" I heard Monty ask. Clarke looked passed me and gave the boy a look. "I mean--"

The blonde girl shook her head. "I know what you mean... Bellamy should be back by now."

Clarke turned and Monty and me followed. "Hunting parties go radio-silent. It's nothing new... What else?"

Clarke sighed. "I just feel useless."

"Join the club, sister," I commented just before Clarke continued.

"I'm stuck here in case anyone needs a cut bandaged, supervising the backup plan when I should be going to the island to make Nightblood."

"Clarke, you're not a geneticist," Monty stated.

"Neither is Abby," I added.

"Yeah. Well, they have Raven. Genetic code, computer code. They'll figure it out."

"Monty, I'm serious," Clarke said, stopping in her tracks.

"So am I," he said, looking at the girl. "If Jaha's right and Becca created Nightblood there, they'll find her records. And all they have to do is reverse-engineer it from Luna. Everyone lives."

"If they can get it done before the radiation gets here," Clarke added.

"I guess we better finish the ship," Monty said. Just then, Riley walked toward us. "Riley, how's it coming?"

The boy stopped a few feet in front of us and spoke. "We're on schedule here. We should have the radiation patch up before dark."

"See. One less thing to worry about," Monty said, looking at Clarke. Just then, the sound of thunder echoed around us. Oh, no. Black rain.

"Alright. Everyone inside, just like we practiced," I shouted, looking at the sky. "Go."

Everyone began shouting and running toward the ship as someone sounded the alarm. It only took about a minute for everyone to get inside, and when Monty was just about to close the door, he stopped and shouted.

"Jasper! Come on!" Monty shouted. My eyes widened slightly when I looked passed him to see Jasper taking his time. He stopped in his tracks, looking at the sky.

"Jasper, what are you doing?" Clarke asked.

The boy looked at us, a smirk on his face. "Can't live your life in fear."
