Bellamy drove the rover into camp, stopping it just inside the gate. Clarke and Roan had gone to the island with the fuel. I had made the decision to go back to camp with Bellamy. I mean, there's not much I can do in a lab filled with science equipment. I wasn't very good at science when I was in school.

We both got out, stopping in front of Kane who was walking toward us. "Welcome back."

I gave him a small smile. Just then, thunder rumbled loudly in the sky, causing me to look up. Looks like another storm is heading our way. A drop of rain landed on my forehead, burning my skin. My hand shot up as I winced. When another one hit me, Bellamy spoke.

"Black rain."

My face fell as Kane shouted. "Everybody inside!"

"Black rain! Sound the alarm!"

Everyone began running toward the ship, covering their faces and any skin that was visible. I grabbed a tarp that was laying on the ground beside me and covered myself. "Everybody, inside, now!"

I ran toward the ship as the rain fell harder and harder until it was eventually pouring. Everyone made it inside. I stopped just inside the entrance by Bellamy and Kane, grabbing a squirt bottle and spraying my hands. The sound of someone screaming outside caught my attention.

"Kane, someone's outside," Bellamy stated. The pair grabbed their tarps they had and ran outside. I watched as the two grabbed a man named Louis and carried him into the ship. Two guards carried the man away.

"I need to find Octavia," Bellamy stated to Kane as they walked into the ship.

"She's not here. She took off hours ago."

Bellamy shook his head. "I have to find her."

As he turned to leave, Kane stopped him. "Bellamy, look. You just got back, and the rover doesn't have enough power to go searching through the woods--"

"The rain will kill her," Bellamy said.

I butted in. "She's smart, Bellamy. You gotta trust that she found shelter, okay?"

He only nodded.

"Remember the drill," Kane shouted. "All wet clothing inside the designated zone."

I pulled my shirt over my head, tossing it aside before scooping water from a barrel into my hand and rubbing myself down with it. I used both hands to wet my hair.

I had changed into a clean pair of pants and a grey, long sleeve shirt. Quite a few people had pretty bad burns from the black rain, and we had them resting in the hangar bay because med bay is full. I have a few burns on my chest and one on my face, but since they weren't serious, I brushed it off and helped the others. I looked up to see Kane walking down the ramp. I turned as he walked passed me and pressed a damp cloth to a woman's head. She had some pretty bad burns, so I was helping her the best I could. It's a good thing Abby is a doctor and Clarke is training to be one because I've learned a few things around here. I also learned that a man named Mark and his son Peter, who is one of the 100, is stuck out in the rain.

After a few minutes, I heard footsteps. I looked up to see Bellamy. I shot up and caught up to him. "Are you helping Mark and his son?"

The boy stopped and looked at me. "Yes. I'll be back as soon as I can, okay?"

I took a step forward. "I can come with you--"

"No."

I sighed, "Bellamy--"

"I said no, Aiden," the boy repeated, firmly. I pursed my lips, not saying anything. Bellamy stepped toward me, letting out a quiet sigh. "I need to know you're not in harm's way, okay... Just, stay here and help with the wounded. I'll be back before you know it."
