I went home and Aaron looked confused.

"You're ready to talk?".

"Umm, yeah, I found out something", I was having second thoughts calling him.

"Ok, what's it?", he asked crossing his arms on his chest.

"My parent's killer is on the loose". He looked concerned.

"Really?".

"Yeah, Mark told me he didn't kill my parents".

"Mark?".

"The person who was arrested for my parent's murder".

"and you believe someone in prison?". He has a point but Mark looked sincere.

"I know, it's dumb but I believed it".

He gave me a weird look.

"Ok, well, we should tell the police then", he suggested.

"I don't feel it's wise telling them. I mean they already investigated it and arrested Mark, they'll not take me seriously".

"Are you sure, he's telling the truth?".

"Yeah, I guess".

"Ok, well, this came as a surprise but my friend, Caleb, is a private investigator, he can look up this".

"Really?".

"Yeah, I mean, why not", he shrugged.

"Thank you", I hugged him and his body tensed which made me move back.

"Umm, I'm sorry, I-it's j-just", he shuttered.

"I'm sorry Aaron".

"Huh?".

"I was being a bitch earlier, it's just, I wasn't expecting that to happen. It's your child and your decision, I shouldn't have reacted like that". and I was jealous.

"It's fine, Harley".

I smiled at him.

I called Mia to apologize.

"Yeah, I'm sorry".

"It's all good. I also wanted to tell you that today is Lisa's funeral". Oh, Lisa.

"Really?, I never got an invite".

"Oh, well, wear Black and I'll be at your place soon".

I cut the call and sighed. I couldn't still believe Lisa's dead.

"You're good?", Aaron interrupted my thoughts.

"Yeah".

"Well, Caleb said he'll be here soon and we'll talk".

"Oh, I need to get to a funeral".

"Ok, well, I could go with you and he'll meet us there", he suggested.

"That's nice", I smiled at the fact that he was following me.

We went to change. I wore a black plain gown and tied my hair to a ponytail. Mia came without her car.

"I can't bring it and drive with you, it makes no sense", she argued with me when I asked why she didn't bring her car.

"Ok, well, you have to get used to it, and learn how to drive".

"But I have a driver".

"Yeah, How's he? Is he good?".

"He's good, he came this morning and took me for a quick spin. I felt like a celebrity", she fake flipped her hair.
