Lies For Them

Ainu's POV

School was closed the next day because of the attack. It makes sense, but that left me with nothing to do. I just decided to eat and train. I can't waste time sitting around if I can better myself and my quirk. The day after that was a school day. Since I trained so much, I slept longer. I still got to school on time, but I walked to school alone.

The lunch bell rings and I stop working on my school work and stretch.

"Why don't you go get lunch from the cafeteria again, dear?"

"Uh, yeah. Sure."

I get up and leave the room towards the cafeteria. I run into 1-A on the way there. Mina runs up to me and pulls me into a bear hug.

"Ainu~! Did you see the news?"

I can barely breathe. "Y-Yeah...."

"I was SO frightened, but All Might came and saved us!"

I felt sadness overwhelm my body as I lowered my head. "Yeah..."

Mina loosens her grip and pulls away, her hands on both of my shoulders. She was filled with concern. "Hey....Are you okay?"

I don't want to burden them. I lift my head up and put on a mask of bliss. "Yeah. I was just worried about you guys!"

"I understand, but we are fine now! See?"

"I can see! Anyways, let's go get lunch!"

"Yeah! You can sit with me!"

"Sure!" I felt so hopeless that day.....I wanted to help, but.....I knew no one would let me....I just feel so..guilty. I could've done so much more..but I was afraid.

Mina dragged me through the hallways and even through the cafeteria. We got our food and she led me to a table where Kirishima, Sero, Kaminari, and Bakugou were sitting.

How did they get Bakugou to sit there...?

"Guys, look! I found Ainu!"

The four of them looked up at me. One just glared and went back to eating while the other three smiled and welcomed me. A certain crimson haired boy smiled extra bright.

"Hey Ainu!"

"Good to see you!"

"I didn't see you this morning. You overslept?"

I smile at them. "It's good to see you all as well! And yes, Kirishima, I overslept."

Mina sat me down in between her and Bakugou. "I can't wait for the Sports Festival!"

I look at Mina. "It's already coming up? And it's actually going to happen?"

Kaminari jumps in. "Yeah. According to Mr. Aizawa, the administration thought it'd be a good idea because they wanted to prove that U.A. is 'safer than ever'."

"I guess that makes sense....They want to comfort the parents and students so that they will still trust U.A."

Kirishima jumps in as well. "When you put it like that, it really does!"

Sero also jumps in. "I'm surprised Mr. Aizawa actually came into school today. He kinda looked like a mummy with all those bandages."

Wait.... "Mr. Aizawa was hurt...?"

Mina looks at me with concern again. "Well....yeah. 13 too."

I thought Midoriya was the only one with major injuries.....but Mr. Aizawa and 13?
