Sports Festival: Secrets and Mineta's Tricks

AInu's POV

The lunch break has started and I still have no clue what happened in the Cavalry Battle. I turn to Ojiro and he gives me a concerned look.

"Are you okay, Ainu?"

"Y-Yeah. Just a headache. Do you know what happened?"

He shook his head. "I only remember the last portion of it, but that's only because someone bumped into me."

"So it must've been that purple haired guy's quirk. Shinso, right?"

"Yeah."

"Thanks for the help, Ojiro."

"Yeah. Sure."

I turn from him and start to wander around to get some fresh air so that my head would stop pounding less. I wasn't really paying attention to where I was going, until I heard Midoriya's voice.

"You brought me here, now what?"

I stop walking and look around. I don't see Midoriya, but he's close by.

"We should probably eat soon. The cafeteria is going to be busy. Don't you think?"

I find the direction his voice is coming from and slowly walk towards it. His voice was echoing around a corner, so I just pressed myself up against the wall and listened carefully.

A deep monotone voice answers, "I was overwhelmed."

Todoroki...?

"And it made me break the promise I made to myself a long time ago."

Is he talking about the Cavalry Battle? I wish I could actually remember anything about it, but all I could remember seeing was fog! I slowly turn my head and find Bakugou on the other side of the gap. Shock flows through my body and my eyes widen. It looks like he is listening in as well. How did I not notice him...?

"Iida and Kaminari; Yaoyorozu and Tokoyami; Ururaka. None of them felt it. In that moment, I was the only one who could sense your true power. It reminded me of something. Experiencing All Might's quirk."

"Oh yeah? Okay..Is that all..?"

"I'm saying...that the power coming from you felt the same as All Might's."

Midoriya gasps in panic.

"Midoriya, are you really All Might's secret love child or something?"

I don't think so...but....could Midoriya have borrowed his quirk from All Might....? Seems too far fetched to me....

"Well are you?"

"No! No way! That's not it at all! But I guess if I was, I'd totally say it wasn't, so you probably won't believe me no matter what I bet! Anyway, I promise, you got the wrong idea. And...why would you even think that about me?"

"That's not it at all is interesting wording. It suggests that there IS something between you two that you're not supposed to talk about."

Is it too far fetched....? I don't know anymore, thanks to this conversation.

"My father is the hero Endeavor. You must've heard of him, which means you're aware that he's the #2 hero. So if you're connected to the #1 hero, All Might, in some way, that would mean...that I would have even more reason to beat you."

Yikes. Midoriya, you have some intense rivals. I look over at Bakugou. He looks at me. He knows that this conversation should not be interrupted. I can see why. After what Midoriya told Bakugou, I don't blame him for being quiet. The REAL question is: Does Bakugou believe this? I don't know if I believe it myself. I have my doubts..
